Its an interesting perspective but O2O and You are my Glory are different interims of structure . O2O focused more about Zheng's character who for the most part easily overcomes adversity on her own . Also at the time when O2O was release Zheng was probably more well known than Dilraba. With You are more Glory, GuMan delivers on the show runner title. Which is Jing Jing's glory, and Yu Tu's glory, both eventually becoming each other's glory.
While I do agree that YAMG drama gets dragged on after new years reunion, the author gives you a sense of payoff to their relationship as they are able to continue going for many many years after. Given that the first half was primarily focused around JingJing's career then they shifted more focus on Yu Tu's career, and then back and forth briefly. Personally I like rom-coms, and I do find these lovey dovey cheesy displays of affections enjoyable, but its not for everyone's taste, but it gave many fans something to see when you put a acting power pair like Dilraba & YangYang together.
Overall the relationships were better developed than O2O, as I found myself rewatching YAMG many many times.
