I tried my best to watch it until the end, but could not stand it any longer and had to drop it in the middle of the 14th episode. How is everyone calling it a masterpiece????

I resonate with you because that's exactly how I feel.

Watched the first half and honestly I don't get the hype at all. It's the most generic plot. A guy from unknown origin who's a misogamist falls head over heels for the eccentric, spoiled brat who, by the way, is in love with her friends fiance for 8 freaking episodes. The FML annoyed the heck out me. Both of them not speaking their minds, but Gil Chea just spouting nonsense about him to his face and then expects him to care for her when she never gave him a clear answer. The only episode I liked was the 4th episode, the rest I just watched for the sake of finishing them. The war also ended abruptly. The editing was also choppy in some scenes. I have no idea why everyone has nothing but praises for this drama. I'm still going to watch the 2nd part and hopefully it'll be better than this one. Though, I know better than to not have high expectations because EXPECTATIONS ALWAYS LEAD TO DISAPPOINTMENT.

First of all, I had no idea she was a kpop idol and what does her being a kpop idol have anything to do with this? Secondly, I find it bizarre how you mentioned asian actresses looking “older” than their age as they looked younger back then. Read your statement again and see how horrendous it sounds!
Also, it’s either I have dyslexia or it’s your writing skills that are lacking.

I remember hating this drama so much when ut was on going. I have no idea why I watched the entire thing💀

One must set aside their logical part of the brain to watch this drama otherwise you'll find plot holes everywhere and it makes zero sense. An enjoyable watch nonetheless. Kim Young Jwang was so adorable here. His gummy smile is so cute!

I personally love slow burn more than fast paced dramas, so I’ll give a try.
