On Single’s Inferno Season 4 Feb 4, 2025
My thoughts after watching Singles Inferno ep 9 & 10:

- I think Sian is just infatuated with Junseo. She's attracted to his bad boy vibe, but man... I think she suits someone with a calm and sweet personality. The man is too cold for her, and I think she'll shiver if she really ends up with him. If they did, they'd for sure argue a lot. Lol. (They're not yet dating, but they seem like they're already breaking up. Lmao.)
- I also find Junseo rude, especially that time he told Youjin to shut up. But I don't think it's as extreme as what other audiences say. Though I agree, I wouldn't date someone who treats me like how he treats Sian. I don't think Sian is asking for too much; "be gentle" isn't just the bare minimum to treat someone you like? Well, I don't know if it's just a habit or what, but aside from that, he had a face that said "idgaf" throughout their second paradise date. At least look at her, bruh. (Thankfully, atleast he was honest about his feelings with Minseol.)
- I was actually expecting to feel uncomfortable with Jeongsu and Youjin's date. I'm so glad he just cleaned up stating his reason for picking her, and Youjin is very understanding about it. She didn't even act upset that she was just chosen because he had no one else to choose. Applause to her. The show did her dirty by making her look weird in the past episodes, but my girl just proved she was just a bubbly person with a good heart. (I actually saw Hyeseon's smile similar to hers.)
- What was actually weird is why there was a double date? Why not a triple date? Lol. The agenda is too obvious—it's for the Sian love triangle. But it was entertaining, so I don't blame the production team, lol.
- I agree with Jiyeon; Taehwan doesn't seem genuine. Jiyeon said it well. Normally, in a conversation, after telling something about yourself, don't you ask the other person as well? It's not like you have to repeat every question they asked you, but isn't it normal to be curious about someone you like? The man is on the wrong show with his culture self talks. Lol. (It could just be me, but I feel like he chose her because he realized no one else was interested in him. I didn't see sparks between them since the beginning, by the way. I didn't like the vibe for idk what reason.) Dex, get her outta there. Lol
- I cried for Theo's rejection. I wasn't fond of him at the start because he seemed to do some things exaggerated (idk, not normal, lol), but I found him cute after a few episodes. I think Sian just wasn't attracted to him. You know, you might like someone's personality and actions, but not the person. I totally understand Sian for what she feels. She could've told him straight up, but instead, she gave him a chance to get to know each other, which is a good thing.
- About Dongho, I don't know... but I think his choice was already final. I think he and Arin are just too tight already. He doesn't even talk to or ask Haerin anything lol. I don't think his shy laugh while talking to her means anything "romantic." I just saw it as his default reaction for the awkwardness. He just keeps saying, "It's just my first time meeting someone with this personality" or something like that. His solo interviews weren't shown either. That's why I think they're keeping the "surprise" for the last episodes by implying that it still wasn't decided. But I could be wrong. Specially, the panelists are kind of thinking the opposite.
- I actually found Haejin and Jonghoon a bit surprising. I totally understand how Haejin likes Jonghoon, and I actually find her cool for being straightforward at that moment. I'm not that sure about Jonghoon though. It's like another Taehwan scenario. But I think it's because he thought he was too late and just gave up. That confession gave him the green light that he still has a chance. (I'm not sure about how they interacted in Inferno before that night, so I can't judge anything. But it was known that he chose Sian before, so it means Haejin wasn't his first pick, right?) I find this season too short. There's close to none screentime for inferno interactions, specifically the nights after they leave for the paradise dates.
- Lastly, I'm more excited about who Youjin will choose to go to paradise with. I was kind of hoping it would be Theo. (There was a rumor that they could be IRL together because their phone cases have the same 🍀 design on them.) Personally, I think they click better. I don't know if it's just as friends, but they seem to suit each other, in my opinion.
Overall, I hope there will be redemption for each participant before it ends. May the last episodes be fun and entertaining. 😌

P.S. I love Minseol. She's like a breath of fresh air with all those tensions while watching. Lol. She's so effortlessly funny.
