Is this worth starting?I know its a longer drama... Is is slow pasced? Is there a lot of angst? Or pointless misunderstandings?

I'm traveling. I can't find it on any of the platforms in the country I am in, I'm going to probably start it on Kisskh. I don't like to wait until the episodes pile up to much. Otherwise I'll end up in marathon mode... I need to remind myself that sleep is my friend

With the rapid decline in the condition of China's economy, entertainment companies have less money to create and distribute new content, yet networks and streaming sites have to keep providing fresh material for their viewers/ subscribers. It seems many shelved dramas are finally given a chance. It makes me question what the quality of these dramas are if they have been sitting on the bench for so long.

I just find it miraculous, nothing gets soaked or damaged every time it ends up submerged in water.

I really enjoyed the first half of the story, now it just feels like a typical run-of-the-mill fantasy c-drama.

Viki does have it, it might not be available in your region. I have this issue with wetv often, viki is 50/50, that is why I end up on kisskh part of the time otherwise I wouldn't be able to see the dramas I like with subs. Adding Brave, has been a game changer for me.

I skip him too... His smile has creeped me out from the start, his character is poorly written and executed.

The book is about the mother and daughter relationship. The romance isn't even as big of a role as it is in the drama.

I based my comments on comments on Weibo platforms about a drama.
The Douban scoring system is known to be heavily deflated, especially if it's a romance.
I have seen a score 5-6 that maintains a large viewership and positive feedback throughout.
It's not uncommon for a 6-7 drama to end up being 8-9 drama on MDL.
Personally, I don't use Douban as the "only" determining factor when sorting out the publics response or appreciation toward a drama. I don't find it tells the full story in my experience.
