The female boss at the company is jealous. I am not sure how evil they will make her out to be but she has set the FL up a number of times to get her out of the way, so far her efforts have been unsuccessful.
It's predictable but a cute and easy watch. I love the leads and the second couple (which usually I skip over), the co-workers are awesome. It is obvious to see who stir up future headaches. Still, there are plenty of bright and happy supporting personalities to take the edge off all of the negativity they bring.
Side note... Nearly all C-dramas are filled with cliches thanks to Chinas EXTREME regulations on what is considered permissible creative content. Seriously, Google it and you'll be shocked by how boxed in writers are, and what they are allowed to release on the screen. It will explain why we see a factory mill of recycled plotlines and troupes again and again.
Despite the cliches, some writers, directors, and cast have the skill to make it an enjoyable experience for the viewer. IMO This is one of them.
