The only 2 characters i can sympathise with are crown prince and his majesty. I find huijuās character a mix of tacky, ungrateful, and over ambitious. She reminds of the male lead in queen if tears how we all disliked him at first but got his point of view later on. Guess she will get better. Her sob story that she repeats to everyone and 5 times a day is annoying āmy dumb brother bla bla blaā. Her interaction with his majesty was the only scene where i found her likeable.

the story is weak and poorly done although the setting is quite good and not much done in the past i can only remember 3 kdramas set in modern era monarchy. But all 3 were very well done as opposed to this.
the first half of first episode was cringe as i was expecting a story like the last empress but it got better in the second half. Really looking forward to it.

it is good but the hype made it ok š«£š¤£ if that makes sense lol. Itās okayish. Not wow amazing the best drama we have ever seen like how people was saying it is supposed to be. Itās enjoyable though.

Best drama ! usually dramas over 12 episodes get boring these days as its the same story nothing new but this one was a hit throughout the 16 episodes. Not a dull moment. You really donāt need romance to have a hit drama !
