Unpaid tax debts from her personal company. This is a terrible problem. Everyone is harmed when this happens.…
Her problem is so simple but she was put on blast, everyone else has a big sum; the margin of error is so small. She expensed her personal expenses on company books and pretty much is shareholder distribution - from where I am from, the company and the person have to pay taxes. This is a complex accounting process. I still believe she did not deliberately evade taxes otherwise with that type of margin of error, I can’t even imagine. The tax conclusion for her also never specified that she evaded taxes, only said suspicion on tax evasion but what killed was it happened on a Saturday morning, on top of mass media coverage, and hinting she did not follow up properly (fueling the “multiple accounts of tax evasion” illusion. The tax bureau followed up with “she’s cooperative” but did not give any details on a timeline. Hence I stopped watching all kinds of mainland dramas ever since lol the real big whales don’t get caught, only these small fishes that barely make any splashes.
She is my top 1 fav actress. Photogenic, beautiful, sexy, sassy & cute. She can do it all. Not to mentioned, her…
I beg to differ, tax is a very complex subject; but going online to defend her is pointless, there’s already a crew to make sure she goes down just from word of mouth. Her issue is a mystery, nobody is this crazy and would deliberately not pay taxes especially when it’s the sum that she’s being penalized for. Remember penalty and interest in China is 10x of what she would have owed, if you take that into account, the amount of taxes she “evaded” is much less than that sum that we see. Just link the series of events last year she was put on blast by news outlets, this year a whole year and 2 months past, she gets blasted by the tax bureau. Very fishy.
In reality, I think they are armed plots between big companies and crazy fans of mediocre actors who consider…
Recently one of my favorite actress who happens to also have a very terrible fandom (zanillia zhao) started pressing charges on these anti fans - had them paying money. I doubt they need to do jail time but hitting them with some kind of monetary compensation would shut their mouths a little but apparently some of them come back and do it again lol and the compensation just gets doubled.
Yes, your words are correct. Her case was exaggerated thanks to the crazy fans of a certain mediocre actor, whose…
Let’s never name that mediocre actor, let him stay irrelevant. ☺️ my new goal is to watch all the shows of his competitor JUST NOT HIS. I don’t want to be an anti, so that’s what I’m going to do. It can be a terrible show, I’d still watch it. I just wont give his drama any chances.
Haters will continue to hate, I want to also jump onto Facebook in her defense but I respect my privacy and others privacy which haters most likely won’t oblige so I hope the haters and people who want to know what really happened to look at this..
They gave her a warning and she cooperated with the investigation. This was not a case of her committing tax evasion again, this is the same case as last year (I wish haters that accuse her of doing tax evasion 2x , 3x to actually shut their ignorant naive hating mouths - you get jailed for committing tax evasion more than once). She had a withholding issue on expenses and they classified some of her expenses as personal expenses which shouldn’t have used under company books, and if used she actually should pay personal income taxes since she’s a shareholder in the company. So the company should withhold taxes on their part and she should also file personal income taxes from those expenses that is almost like me buying you Ex. a car or bag (and till this day we don’t know what was expensed so this is just an EXAMPLE) and that has nothing to do with operations of the company - since you’re a shareholder you should go reported this as income. Yes I understand her situation very well, anyone who goes to work or has a job should unless you’re not in business related field. You can investigate a case under tax evasion suspicion but the outcomes of the investigation could be misrepresentation of books and records - fined and penalized with interest. Tax evasion happens with intent, there’s an actress I don’t want to name who a few years back where this whole tax scandal evolved to this day, her case of tax evasion is obvious, she had two sets of books, of which one is reported to the government and the other is her actual earnings of which was in the process of getting burned…
I’m not trying to say she’s not wrong but classifying her case for tax evasion is a little overboard, I mean come on… lol under 2.9 million (400k usd) of tax evasion, astounding considering how much she actually makes. Apparently this could be 2 days of salary for these actress and actors in china.
Just to think that the emperor’s love might have been out now😭😭
I kept telling myself I can get over it. But I can’t, especially when I see the haters talking badly about her.. can’t imagine how there’s such a vast population of ignorant and hateful people…
I don't think the government was out to get her.I just wonder if she didn't have the money to pay it back, or…
I also don’t think the government even wanted to disclose her, everyone had a timeline on the disclosure besides her, their explanation at the end just says she was very cooperative through out the investigation. ZZH, my heart breaks for that one, he was truly canceled for no reason, he won the lawsuit too but all the damage has been done.
The best way it was explained to me on some of these pages was as explained below. You know how "collectively"…
What killed her was the surrogacy, she was canceled over morale issues. Her ex leaked their conversation of her getting angry, people tend to say things they don’t mean when they’re angry… she happened to have said to end the surrogacy when the babies were already 7 months in (she wanted to abort them) surrogacy is illegal in China I think. Then the tax evasion thing came after but before all of this she was already banned. It’s a shame, I actually really like Zheng Shuang still.
They’re angry because of many reasons and one of the main reason is because most of them are jealous. majority of them make very little money compared to the celebrities, so they feel a sort of resentment towards the rich. Then you have some that like to 落井下石, I’m feeling miserable I’ll take you down too. Then of course you got the haters. She’s not recovering from this anytime soon. Maybe her dramas might get released.
Day before the tax bureau release their sttmnt.. YBY posted on douyin lile nothing happen.. what more weirs..…
Gets reported on a Saturday morning, old news from a year ago gets dragged back in a year later.. the amount, literally is a day worth of work for them, her entire assessment is 2 days worth of work… there’s no release of time line. And if you defend her, automatically you’re going to get cyber bullied almost immediately, 10-20 of them pop up explaining wow your retirement is stolen, this money should’ve been for your pension. Now they’re changing that dumb retirement motto to “she’s stealing from school, road, etc funding”, “you’re really going to feel bad for 2.08 million dollar day earners” 🤮🤮🤮
It’s really scary how pple manipulate the story and jump to conclusion when she had not worked for 2 years.…
I think it’s bringing back the old case and they bunched it up into 2 cases. Since last year it was determined that her accounts classified her personal expenses on her business account, she should’ve reported that portion into her personal income (any cpa would do this) so idk if she did that or not, or was told she didn’t need to do anything. She went and gave the tax bureau more information so she can make the tax payments and complete the investigation…
Im with you.. my love for her never faded since i known her from evernight and listening snow tower. And got deeper…
I trust her. I know this is redundant from a lot of so called “passerby” on Weibo but I am actually an accounting major. Unless China have such crazy laws, tax evasion is a serious crime.. it’s very hard to prove. She didn’t mess with contracts to hide her income, she didn’t underreport intentionally. The bottom line is misclassifying accounts, that’s an administrative problem, I wonder if people can check which cpa did she hire to handle her case. Alot of these ppl on Weibo seems to just be people that like to see celebrities getting taken down like SZR.. she was bashed at from what I remembered almost a whole week straight.. and keeps getting brought back. And her case isn’t even settled yet, that one was reported by someone so it’s going to be an investigation.
I feel like she got mass reported by online haters and that’s why she was muted, I don’t think Weibo made that decision based on the tax bureaus release
