As someone who's read the novel I will say 3 things
1.Despite the amount of events that were cut short, I think it wasn't that bad of an outcome, and being fair maybe I am a little relieved that they keep releasing flashbacks, which "may" include some of their past struggles until this relation was established.
Honestly, I would have what I see now than having to rewatch another version of LS 3 and see the same comments again due to lack of proper build-up.
I can already see that a lot of changes were made to Hui's character that made him more pleasant, but from the trailer it's evident that he would still mess up again with Fei, so, maybe they will somehow recreate but minorize their personalities and still retain the major similarities with their personas in the novel.
2. Someone said that the drama has a sad ending... If it's about the villain part with Fei, then yes. But TBH, I don't expect to see half of that on the show. I think they might imply with words, maybe release a scene or two.... but 95% of it should and would be censored
That on the side, it wasn't a sad ending, like at all, rather reasonable.
3. I personally had issues with the novel due to the personality holes in Fei's character, he was portrayed as a proud beauty who isn't easily swayed and a sassy one, yet he wasn't like that with Hui in the novel and occasionally allowed Hui to step on him, in the drama however I think it made better sense to me that he would always roar back.
finally, I LOOOOOOOVE that they made this a drama, and I love it, definitely strong competitor for top BLs this year
I'm also calm, so now I think I'll watch the episodes, but I won't take it seriously. what you plan to look forward…
I was joking, I have never written a FF in my entire life, I was more on the reading side... But, tonight I would take a look at all the newly posted ones and share the ones I like here if I you want.
As far as I have seen, multiple ones were posted yesterday, I am guessing everyone feels the same
my x account just got suspended. 😠what's in that post? Is it from the script itself or just a rumor?
Nanpai Sanshu added a hint under one of the videos for the episode finale
(((it's "severing the connection between earth and heaven" in the next 7 years, besides his existing records, no one must talk or make records of him, then seek out those daoist priest for the rituals.
heaven must be deceived, and everyone must genuinely believe he has died in order for him to come back)))
I just watched the first ep after a long wait, sois it a sad ending?who all die in the end?i heard that ZHX enters…
being unbiased -acting is great -Plot idea is decent -Direction wasn't it -Actions scenes were a hit or miss -Ending and last couple of eps were unrealistic
Haixia diedd in the early part of the novel, this show is generous enough to drag his death till ep 33. pretty…
@happymiian
UK, I am not a DY fan, I was a fan of the entire franchise. But wanna talk about generous?
I would have loved it if Haxia had in fact died early, instead they ruined his angel-like persona and gave fans false hope, you blame it one DY's fans? Let me tell you a certain fact, had he died, that show wouldn't have gotten half where it is right now and that director knew it, instead he decided to ruin a masterpiece novel with a kid-like plot instead of sticking to what made the novel perfect.

1st thought: Go to Weibo and mop the floor with the creator 2nd thought: Pretend I've never watched the whole thing 3rd thought: Write an AO3 about it with better plot and ending 4th thought: Rewatch Ultimate note 5th thought: Watch other dramas for Ding Yuxi where he is laughing and smiling a lot
Final thought, drop the entire thing today, have some family time, go to sleep early and make up your mind in the morning
Okay.... I think I am calmer now, so let's talk logical
The theory of this originally having 3 endings seems very real, or just pure evil. Because they really got out hopes up until the very end with that "cure" option only to do us dirty.
Being fair, I thought it's because everyone likes Haxai, but the truth is we were given hope by the creators until the very end, which whether was becoz they hadn't made their mind back then for the ending, or because they wanted this to be unexpected... in all cases, feeding us false hope was mean

And while we're at it, the direction was terrible
Thanks, next <3
