Xu Xing Ming has to play a fool in order to survive within the Xu family. After being married of to the disabled and disfigured eldest grandson of the Lu family, Lu Yanzhi, she´s suffers tremendously which lead to her death three years later. Being reborn she decides to no longer play the weak fool, but use her alleged mental illnesses to fight back big way. Meanwhile her husband was pretending to be bound to a wheelchair after an attack on his life and even uses an alter ego, Lu Jian, in order to survive. The two of them make a pact to help each other deal with their respective families and take revenge on everybody who did harm them.
