Yes before the last episodes I didn't blame her and I thought she didn't deserve any kind of punishment because it was all her mother's doing. But in the last episodes they suddenly tell us she killed a child she killed the child of her husband's concubine. She deserved the same outcome as her mother. Wether by Minglan, her husband or the concubine, they should've given us a different kind of ending for her. Not Molan coming to them acting ashamed and innocent like girl you killed a child are we going to forget about that
Why the hell does molan get to stay alive when her mother did not, like she literally killed a woman the same way her mother did. Yet she gets to be all cutesy with her family like it was all a phase and they didn't just tell us she killed a woman in a vile inhuman way. Wowww Okay then ending wasn't satisfying to say the least basically half of the bad characters endings were swept under the rug , I wanted to see torture I wanted to see pain, shame, humiliation. I literally got nothing. But overall it's very good, love it a lot, watching it is definitely a summer depression activity
I've watched 10 episodes so far I like it very much I love their clothes and so the characters and the cinematography. Very different from story of yanxi palace gotta say. I finished story of yanxi palace in 4 days you can never get bored of that show. Story of minglan however definitely makes me a bit frustrated it elevated my blood pressure by how slow paced its but what I'm really really hoping that in the end it will get at least satisfying . the father that man I hope he gets hit in the face I'm tired of him good lord Mo Lan is such a good character as well her and her mother wow I can't even bring myself to hate them , they're just so cvnty and cool. I also want to know when Minglan will start to be more courageous and less submissive or at least when do the schemes start. please don't tell me that will be 30+ episodes into the show.
Man I really want to love this and I actually loved it in the start, however I cannot bring myself to like the fourth prince like I physically can't ...his character feels so boring and i can't sense that he truly loves the FL. Like I haven't seen much chemistry between the two of them. with the eighth prince I can feel chemistry between him and the fl I have this feeling like they fit eachother so much but with the ml it feels so boring, their dynamics are boring and I feel nothing seeing them together. and I don't understand why she loved him in the first place I feel like their love is so forceful since he will become the emperor cuz their interactions are so boring. And when the they're together sharing their sadness and stuff instead of feeling depressed and sad I just cringe good lord. Nevertheless I loved the fl especially in the first episodes maybe 15 or less like she was very cute and I loved her interactions with everyone but she gradually changed and I don't like her that much anymore that was the biggest disappointment for me cuz I liked her a lot. The scene that made me laugh the most is when the two main leads are on the boat in that lotus lake man had me cracking up like the lotus leafs and everything. I still haven't finished it though I still have ten episodes to finish and I wish I can gradually see them together. What I like most about this drama is that I know who will die in the end so I don't have to have much expectations or burn my head at least I know I won't cry when they die though I feel like I will sob when the eighth prince dies.
