Just give the gays a good storyline with a good conclusion without making it feel like a chore to just get there…
While I understand where you're coming from...there are plenty of those 'good conclusion, feel happy & warm" BL's. We are practically inundated with them! Kieta Hatsukoi, Light On Me, 2gether, Fukou-kun wa Kiss Suru Shikanai! just to name a few... It's rare that we get a BL with adult actors, adult story lines, adult themes...adults in general. While I find this story incredibly sad & difficult it's different. Much like The Miracle of Teddy Bear I was not expecting such a heavy drama. I like the happy & warm BL's too & those can be extreme in tastes but dramas like this one & Where Your Eyes Linger, Cherry Blossoms After Winter, Like In the Movies, are all a little heavy & I enjoyed them quite a bit. They do bring a lot of reality with them but I guess that's a personal preference as well.
I'll be honest...where in the world do you find more wonderful friends than those of the ML's?!?!?! They are all completely underrated & deserve so much love & respect! On another note, I AM trying Ji Woo. Every. Episode. I am.

I'd like to see it myself as well. In History 4, which I absolutely loved, they gave you a little bit. It showed that even in a quiet moment when you feel it's just the two of you in your own world, living life, there's always that one asshole that rains on your parade & slams you right into the reality that you are a gay couple living amongst some really shitty people. I think it will be quite some time before they show the every day life as they're still trying to figure out how to get them together & stay there. Which I guess is quite realistic sadly LOL Side note...I love your take no prisoners I love it all tolerant attitude. It's great to know that others aren't taking these shows so seriously that they just can't enjoy the good with the bad, the questionable tropes & the BL formulas. As an older person myself I think I'm pretty aware of what is realistic but am also very aware that this is not actually real LOL. I am also, sigh, old enough to be the parent of quite a few of these actors so sometimes the jokes on me anyway LOL.
So, um, what the hell is the point of this show? Is there a story line or are we just going to follow people to work every day & be a part of the most mundane, boring ass conversations possible? Yes I giggled quite a bit at that line as well...more like I rolled my eyes & made a jerking motion with my hand LOL. I just think that everything Li Gong said & did deserved an effin explanation AT BEST! He was totally out of line & hurtful & WTF?? LOL And let me not even go into the apology that should have happened from Nikita's mouth that never came...the fact that he felt he needed to apologize to her is just wrong. I think I'm a little older than most watching these BL's & I have to say that I'm really hoping that there are writers that really starting writing good story lines for the older actors. They need better scripts, less formulas, & a lot more realistic situations. Not some 30 something year old asking for the other to wait until their ready...what kind of bullshite is that?

I'm highly invested & I hate it LOL I've been invested in about a handful of other couples that for one reason or another I could not love more. I'm staying on with this one because for a sadistic moment I truly want to see Ji Woo break. Like lose it! Be angry, yell, cry, drool...something that SHOWS emotion that if I were Seo Joon I'd die to see! That I'd NEED to see to just know that I hadn't been alone in this relationship. The "I was lonely" moment was news to Seo Joon from what I could tell & all he's looking for is some sort of emotion from this wall! At least once that part was over I, as Seo Joon, could say great...now I know...now I can move on. Of course I as my self would have a parting eff you but I'm immature like that LOL.

Yes the ex-girlfriend was a surprise. But then again, maybe she is speaking & feeling emotions of the past Seo Joon...she's in for a rude awakening sadly LOL. Yeah the plot for season 1 should not be repeated. I understood Seo Joon pushing him away in season 1 as that was a reasonable conclusion & somewhat understandable. I'll admit that him saying that he had been lonely when they were together sounded & felt like an answer to him ghosting...albeit by far a good enough answer but since he's mute on a good day this was at least a crumb. I then could say it's a total communication breakdown but...it doesn't explain his throat punching worthy behavior that he so comfortably portrays. It seems that they have gone out of their way to show us every positive move on Seo Joon's part & absolutely not a single positive thing about Ji Woo's behavior which confuses me. In the end why would I want to see them together?

He can continue to be his miserable self in the middle of nowhere with his ex-girlfriend. The happy ending for me would be for Seo Joon to move on & be happy with himself & for him to know that he DID do everything he could in their relationship. Sometimes it doesn't work but it WILL work in his favor as he will find someone who is deserving of HIM.

As a MaxTul fan, IMO, KP took the title from my kings but both couples just ooze all types of chemistry. I don't need them all to be like these couples but damn...just a little saliva wouldn't kill anyone!
