Now, my takeaway? Barcode was hot AF in every scene & I could have watched just him in every episode standing in black cleaning his feathers...I wouldn't care. He was worth it.

Yeah no I get the whole brotherly thing but if they walk too far down that path & have Phoon still act like the damsel in distress AND still afraid of the dark, it won't work for me. It will work for others & that's fine. Also, we have 2 episodes down already. Very few episodes left to establish anything concrete & believable so I just need the path to be very short...LOL

For now, it looks like episode 3 is picking us up from the snooze & crying fest & maybe Fah will start veering off the my little brother needs brotherly care train of thought. Fingers crossed.

OK, so, this 1st episode was kinda sorta odd to me? Very kid brother let me pat you on the head a lot odd. I get wanting to put Phoon in your pocket & everything but I'm not quite feelin anything with the intimacy vibe coming from Fah yet. Hope they rush that part at least.

I don't think I was implying any of what you you just wrote. I am not claiming that she is to dictate any of his feelings, reactions, or choices. As I stated, we don't know any of this back story so a possibility of a redemption arc is not on my horizon just yet.

This is fake. I refuse to apply such serious logic to a made up story with plot holes the size of my car all while entertaining the possibility that a character is seeing the future in his dreams. This is entertainment & I am very used to not being able to relate to any of it LOL.

This is there 4th series together, or 4 & a half, & I DO think they have chemistry right up until Phuwin shows how much his acting has improved but his kissing skills have remained that of a 5th grader.

She didn't explain anything to him from day 1 of Dad/Uncle leaving. She has allowed him to end any discussion since instead of telling him that it's her turn to talk & he needs to shut his yap.

I don't necessarily buy into the "man of the house" at what was it? Seven? Ten? I don't think so. This woman has been a small business owner & raised a child all by herself. They live in a house & her teen has a brand new car. She clearly didn't need a 10 year old to be anything but a 10 year old.

Her decision to take whoever he is back, is just that. Hers. She doesn't need anyone's blessing but her own. While I agree that it's important to establish trust & even more important to do everything you can to keep it, it is a two way street. I can't justify her lying to Jinn but I can understand why since she has made herself a carpet that the males in her family walk all over.

We do not know any background of the Dad/Uncle storyline other than the view & memory of a child. For all we know he's not Jinn's father & it really is his uncle that took care of him because his biological Dad is a loser. Who knows? Maybe he was running from something & thought it would be safer for them if they parted ways. Maybe he really is his Dad but was a total a-hole back then. I have no idea. But Jinn has shut down any chance of finding ANYTHING out because he won't let his mother talk & she doesn't tell him to shut up.

I love the relationship between Jinn & his mother but they are both at fault for their dishonesty & disrespect towards each other.

So, then I don't get it. Any of it. LOL

Can I just say something about Jinn's mother here? She's not mothering. She has yet to make her child understand that SHE is the mother & HE is the child. She has allowed her child to steer every conversation & decision she makes & has given him too much control. When the explosion happens, she will be to blame.

As a mother to 2 teenagers, boy & a girl, I remind them of who I am when they forget it.

But he carries a gun, has security, lives by these rules because his family is always threatened by some unseen killers. We don’t even have a reason why except the minor mention of mafia ties.

So, um, are we ever going to actually see the danger part? All these stories, threat, guns...for what?

Could've tossed the whole royal family background story. It was a passing after thought that was silly & paper thin. Everything could stay the same but have his family finally find him blah blah blah.

I like them together I guess. There's no fireworks for me but they are not the worse.
