People who watch IOTNBO too, can you please compare the two shows
This is based on what i remember from IOTNBO knowing that it has been years . Similarities: .Strong casting with phenomenal acting from the main leads .Outstanding chemistry between the main couple .Top notch production, shooting and perfect editing (special mention for IOTNBO scene transitions) .Beautiful OSTs .Unique approaches of story telling (especially for IOTNBO), the already married couple struggling of QOT was interesting too (wish it was focused more on it but still....)
Differences: IOTNBO focused a lot on the personal and psychological struggles of the characters, their feelings, traumas, interactions between them and the process of helping eachother to heal throughout the story. It was a beautiful and solid show treating a delicate aspect succesfully in my opinion. On the other hand the weak aspect was the mother plot, hyped for so many episodes with no twist at all story almost fell flat regarding it.
QOT on the opposite used a lot of plot twists from the begining till the end non stop (lol) that it became kinda annoying by the end, with the writer stuggling to solve them ideally and forgetting all about the most important part which is the main couple relationship and dealt with it superficially. It lacked to convey the real struggles they faced and the harm they caused eachother, didn't go deep enough to show the process of overcoming those difficulties together and heal properly (Yet ther execution was still great of the other story points and the pace was amazing in the first 10 to 11 episodes)
I know it's long but i hope it helps lol Ofcourse this doesn't represent anything but my humble opinion
I've noticed that many comments talk about the possibility that KT may have false memories about that accident by giving the example of him having distorted memories about his mother. Well i didn't took it that way, yes at the end they showed that his mother cared for him and loved him but she didn't really show that for him(the only time she told him directly she loved him was when he fell asleep) and that deosn't deny what she told him about his existence and why he was born(i'm sure she didn't mean it) .
For me that episode was about how we could say somthing that hurts to people we love without meaning it either in a moment a frustration(the mom who lost her daughter) or just a misunderstanding(KT and his mom). So it was more about KT misinterpreting some situations(totaly normal for a kid) than him having altered memories, the mom still neglected him(not intentionally) and cared more about ST most of the time(wich is normal giving her difficult situation) eventhough she showed love for him indirectly with some gestures,
