Don't wish for an unhappy ending because toxic fans made you upset. That's horrible. This is how the world spins, there is nothing we can do about it. Also, let people interperate things how they wish, that sure isn't toxic. It's called dreaming and they're allowed to do it.

In the preview for next episode, we see Tae is distraught after losing something. Tae has a light on me bracelet that he has been wearing since the beginning of the show. Shinwoo did gift a boy a bracelet in middle school. What if Tae really was that boy? Shinwoo finds the bracelet and Tae explains it was given to him years ago and it’s important to him. The show never had to specify that Shinwoo was bullied because of gifting a boy a bracelet, but instead they did. They could have easily said Shinwoo told his friends he liked a boy and that was that. I really think this might have a full circle moment with that bracelet and that’s why you see it so clearly in the present, on the beach when Tae is taking pictures.
I think its utterly possible that both boys don’t recognize each other. People change a lot in what could be 5-6 years.
