Those words are based on what Shinwoo THINKS. We all know Shinwoo won’t flat out ask Tae, so it makes sense. They’ve baited all of us before with previews, this isn’t any different. All signs point to ShinTae endgame or no endgame. Daon has way too much to work out before he’s ready for anyone.
Anyone else realize that Shinwoo flat out denied playing with fireworks on the beach during the trip, but is engaging happily in the present on (what appears to be) the same beach? I know it doesn’t matter, but I saw it and thought I’d share. 😭💜

I think Tae's first love is Shinwoo. You always see Tae saying "I like him." "I like you more than I thought." but he's never once said he loved him. Now that his heart is broken by Daon, I don't really think there is room for it to grow into love. THATS JUST MY OPINION THO ;-; (I'm also Team Shinwoo)
Okay, I will be honest... In episodes one through ten, I wanted to toss Daon off a twelve-story building for the way he was acting. Then when I watched the preview for episode eleven and heard, "I was only nice to him because he was new." Come out of Daon's cakehole, I was fumed. I went into watching episode eleven prepared to death stare Daon the entire time.
Instead, I cried for him and wanted to protect him at all costs. Somehow the made me understand Daon's pain through pure expression through the first half of the episode, only to see him walk into an empty home. Now, I know Daon has people he can go to like NamGoong, but his parents should BE there for their son. I can't say I'm surprised since it's been hinted they weren't good people since Daon threw away his report card in like episode two, or whenever that happened.
However, I do understand why TaeKyung said what he did to Daon. From his side, you see the pain Daon caused. I can't say I blame Daon for how he reacted either when the picture was leaked, the poor kid didn't even want to go home. He kept begging Mr. Seo for more work by saying "No, I can stay, it's fine." On multiple occasions before he resigned and gave up. I don't think Daon's feelings for TaeKyung are strong enough where he is going to go full-on "F*** it" and be with Tae. If they are to be endgame, I don't think it happens in the 'past' episodes while they're in high school.
Tae Kyung verbally told Daon how he was feeling and how he viewed the situation from his standpoint. I suppose saying Daon was a bad person was a bit harsh, (actually, it was just harsh) but you have to understand, from TaeKyung's view, he is a bad person for how he was acting toward him since they returned from the beach. So, all in all, I don't blame TK for what he said, but I do also know he will eventually apologize for it.
Funny enough, I am Team Shinwoo, but I REALLY hope Daon gets the happy ending he deserves. All I want is for Sohee to be disposed of in the dumpster behind the school, and for NamGoong to find happiness that isn't the wicked witch of the east.
All in all, it appears to either be an open ending, an "I chose friendship over love" ending, or Team Shinwoo. There simply isn't enough time for Daon to accept and change from his people-pleasing ways in five episodes to completely be in love with TK. One half of Shinwoo & Tae is already in love and it doesn't particularly take much for feelings to develop when Shinwoo is doing things as he is. Tae is going to really think about it in an episode, understanding that everything Shinwoo has done was for him, and not for anyone else as Daon was.
That's my two cents and prediction.
