drug use allegations could tank his long build career.they take so long with their investigations that even if…
He's not from the internet generation. I dont think he ever saw such a scandal in his career, especially with modern internet culture to amplify it. He also has a wife and 2 kids who he didnt have all his career, probably also being affected. He has always been famous but kinda underrated at the same time, but in the last few years he's been in critically acclaimed stuff, like a second peak in his career, only for it to fall away... OVER WEED.
If he has already battled with depression in the past, this isn't weird.
I am an American lover of Korean cinema, but I'm beginning to think I should stop indirectly supporting this industry…
This. This man helped get Korea global recognition for their cinema. The netizens and the legal system of that country will continue to benefit from his awards after leading him to death's door. Not to say anyone who brings merit to their country deserves immunity to criticism... but at least do it over something worth of critique. Every other drama I watch that same man who plays a villain every kdrama get cut a check for playing himself after committing statutory r*pe, but no one has anything to say. But apparently weed is where the line is drawn?
This reminds me of Yoo Ah In who I’ve been worried about since his “drug allegations” came out. I hope he’s…
We need to do a wellness check for him and other kcelebs who have had similar issues. To lose your life, figuratively and literally, over marijuana truly a tragedy.
This happening over weed is crazy. Like with many things in SK, if they want continued global support in their entertainment industry, they need to get with the times. A man who helped bring an Oscar back to SK and has had over 2 decades in the industry there having his career shatter over WEED?!
As someone who has used both A LOT, Alcohol is easily the MUCH harder drug. Yet Korean culture almost makes joke out of alcoholism. It's made to be light hearted in even rom coms, but weed? Come on now.
Rest In Peace... He was one of my first favorite Korean actors. After Pasta, he was one of the first k-actors I could identify. I didn't even know about the difficulties he recently faced. I'm really so saddened by this. His aura and voice was so unique. It's really sad that I won't be able to see any more of his work.
Lime_pickel have some personal problems with Ji Chang wook l have seen you everytime throw shades on JCW you must…
Sorry but your comment is quite small minded.
1) Sharing one or two negative statements about an actor is fine. But if you read the other comments, it seems the OG commenter has done this many times. THAT is hating on someone.
2) If you share your opinion in this public space, you must accept others opinions on your opinion. If you believe everyone is entitled to their own opinion, you shouldn't be butting in.
EDIT: I think the saying "everyone is entitled to their own opinions" is stupid. We should remember that opinions aren't immune to criticism. You know who else had opinions? H*tler. Having an opinion is different from sharing your opinion. If you have nothing nice to say, its better not said.
