Han Ah Reum is probably the most manly character in this kdrama. Even though she isn't 100%, she still asked Kwon Sook to apologise to her in the ring with her actions.
I hope Ah Reum can withstand the apology of a motivated Kwon Sook. We will be looking at the final form of the genius monster whose hand wraps were done by Tae Young Oppa.
Haha! Can Ah Reum suvive the Fists of Kwon Sook? Can't wait to see that fight.
Yeah. Just when she started to warm up and really care, he does this to her. It's pretty tiresome that kdrama couples…
I use to wait out the kdramas. But then I miss out on the discussions of the show with others. Also, watching 2 episodes that they release per week makes you think about it more than if you binge watch the whole thing.
I probably won't have so much to say about how ty tried to protect ks by not telling her stuff, if i binge watched the show.
As for being disappointed, well it's a risk I have to take. I watched Heartbeat cos I love vampires. But after a few episodes, I gave up cos I didn't like how the story was going.
With regards to Moving, you will know this Wednesday whether it is worth the hype when the final 3 episodes are released. Given how the show has progressed and from what the writer and actors have shared, I think the ending should be satisfying enough to warrant a Season 2.
Yeah. Just when she started to warm up and really care, he does this to her. It's pretty tiresome that kdrama couples…
12 episodes makes the story telling more compact, which can be good and bad. If the show is good, then u may want it to last a little longer.
I have no problems with the kdrama formula. When I watched King the Land, I watched it for the formula and found it comforting. When the ml and fl discussed everything in a mature fashion, I was pleasantly surprised. But overall, it went more or less as I expected it to, which was good.
Moving is pretty creative. I haven't seen anything like it. But I found it highly enjoyable without too much of the obvious kdrama formula showing. If you haven't watched it, you should. It has almost everything and is different.
Yeah. Just when she started to warm up and really care, he does this to her. It's pretty tiresome that kdrama couples…
Yeah. Lack of communication is how most kdramas create dramatic tensions. And yes, I agree with your points of view. I was just wondering out loud about alternatives and what ifs.
I think King the Land really pleasantly surprised me to see no dramatic tension between the ml and fl due to a lack of communication. And so I really hoped that My Lovely Boxer, which I like a lot, won't pull this lack of communication stunt.
But like you said, with 4 episodes left, they can't drag this out for too long. Even ty took about 40 mins to leave his room in real time.
Thanks for indulging me. :)
PS: KS has one more advantage the baddie doesn't have. Plot Armour. :P
Yeah. Just when she started to warm up and really care, he does this to her. It's pretty tiresome that kdrama couples…
I imagine if ty had spoken to ks honestly, it would have gone like this.
ty: loan sharks are after me because I took on my buddy's debt. I got beaten up by them and they are threatening my mom n those close to me. we can't go police cos we dun know what they might do if they r not caught.
I am thinking of letting another agent manage you for your safety. meanwhile, i will try to deal with the loan sharks. what do you think?
if ks says OK, then ty just has to tell her to be careful in case they come for her. if anything happens to ty n ks can't reach him, she can call for backup. ty has to remain contactable at all times.
if ks says no, then ty continues to manage her n both take extra precautions. both agree to a set of protocols to manage the loan sharks n the upcoming match.
Yeah. Just when she started to warm up and really care, he does this to her. It's pretty tiresome that kdrama couples…
I fully understand why ty thought that this was the best way to protect ks. Which is why he did it. But the road to hell is paved with the best of intentions. And what ty did may not have been best for ks from her point of view.
KS hates ppl deciding her life for her. She hated her father deciding to use her to chase the championship without asking her opinion. I think any relationship when one party decides major decisions without consultation or consideration for the other person's thoughts and feelings is on shaky foundations.
ks herself was not happy when ty sprung such a major change on her out of the blue for the reasons I mentioned.
Ty should know the value of consultation and consideration. since the most meaningful conversations he had with ks was when both listened without prejudices.
Having said all that, ks is not a weak damsel in distress. ty has said she is the strongest boxer in Korea. I think discussing things with ks would have enabled both to find a better approach. rather than ty trying to shoulder everything on his own.
besides, ks knocked out estomata. the tall loan shark henchman looks like he could share the same fate.
I am not suggesting that ks should go and attack the loan sharks. but if the tall guy came looking for her, she can probably handle herself way better than ty.
also, the loan sharks know ks was brought back by ty. they won't be fooled if he distances himself now. meanwhile ks being in the dark of the dangers will not be watchful due to her ignorance of the matter.
what ty did may be realistic and great for a drama, but a team based approach would have been more prudent. knowledge is power.
She got two phones, one for the bitching and one for the plug 😎ML is in for a double love triangle 🥰I said…
I love chae won bin. Her acting of Han Ah Reum is fantastic.
KS hates ppl deciding her life for her without consulting her. Her father felt boxing was best for her and himself. TY felt it was best to distance himself from ks to protect her from the loan sharks.
It is said that "the road to hell is paved with the best of intentions."
KS is young, but she is not a kid. She can decide for herself. If ty had told her everything, which is when they make the deepest connection, they could plan their strategy together.
But yes I get that ty wants to shoulder everything himself and it is good tension for the drama. I was just hoping for a different approach.
Having said all that, ks is not a helpless damsel in distress. She is the genius boxer who is said to be the strongest in Korea. She can take care of herself.
And has anybody noticed that the tall loan shark henchman has the same height as Estomata?
Yeah. Just when she started to warm up and really care, he does this to her. It's pretty tiresome that kdrama couples…
Yeah he did it to protect her. I understand why he did it. And that's how the story usually goes to create tension.
One party does something for the other party's well being and there is a misunderstanding. I just wished they didn't have to follow the kdrama formula so closely, where some reason happens and the ml and fl have to be separated.
But like I said, it should be resolved soon, which is what I am waiting for.
when the chairman said he has many sons, does it mean that Jae Min is one of them😱,The issue is not the age…
Yeah. Just when she started to warm up and really care, he does this to her.
It's pretty tiresome that kdrama couples must go through this. Can't they have a mature relationship like gu won and sarang in king the land with no misunderstandings?
I think they will get together at the end. It's not like they need to say "I love you". ML clearly has feelings…
Yeah. Han Jae Min talk about wanting KS to continue boxing, end of relationship.
TY got found out that he wants KS to continue boxing, they have an argument, but KS continues to stay by his side. It's the little things between them that KS may not even consciously realize yet.
you can't bring Jo Ah Ra anywhere without being embarrassed!
I am glad they brought her back after her fight to bring more life to Team Kwon Sook!
I hope Ah Reum can withstand the apology of a motivated Kwon Sook. We will be looking at the final form of the genius monster whose hand wraps were done by Tae Young Oppa.

something like that.

And thank you for your kind words.

All the characters are a pleasure to watch except han jae min.
TY got found out that he wants KS to continue boxing, they have an argument, but KS continues to stay by his side. It's the little things between them that KS may not even consciously realize yet.
They are building up Ah Reum so that her fight with Kwon Sook will be very meaningful for both women.
Ah Reum and Kwon Sook will be carrying their hopes and dreams to the ring.
It will be an epic match!
