After watching the drama, and reading the drama. I totally agree with you. Xiao Jue and He yan were protrayed…
I totally agree with you! Like the strategies and fights in jiyang' water battle and the last battle with wutou including yan he and lin's involvements were well-written and are truly a chef's kiss in the novel. Although i loved all the fights and battles in the drama, it those two battles lack in comparison to the novel.
And yes they could have adapted the emotional depth or intense scenes such as the revealion scene of her disguising as he rufei to xiao jue, the way he pieced all the info together and found similarities between he yan and he rufei and then him sneak attacking her with an intense fight to confirm whether he yan is really he rufei and the emotional confrontation between them because of why, when and what happened and then she being vulnerable and him comforting her after knowing she truly suffered and was isolated with no identity of her own and the betrayal of her kin. Reading that scene was so emotional for me. It was such an amazing scene with emotional depth, and i can't believe they didn't adapt it to the drama. I understand it might not be grand and intense since there is no reincarnation in the drama but i think it could've been still have been enough depth and intensity but instead in drama they made xiao jue suspicious of he yan for coming late to his father's rescue which made the revelation into him feeling pain and betrayed rather than focusing on her pain growing up isolated and with no true identity of hers.
They also could show how much extent he yan suffered to validate her experiences and description and also how xiao jue has a kinda similar raising as her as he was isolated because him having to learn different subjects with strict masters, which made him unsocialable and make him see his younger self in he yan that connects him to her and he slowly falls for her. And they is a flirty and fun sword fight between them, which also was good and many more such scenes which can be really adapted.
Chu zhou was never meant to be likable but they tried hard for us to like him in drama only to ruin his character sketch in the end.
But despite all this, i still loved the drama and novel. They have their own pros and beautifully done scenes❤❤
Totally loved the show. Ended up reading the Novel too. Liked the drama version better in some aspects . 1) like…
After watching the drama, and reading the drama. I totally agree with you. Xiao Jue and He yan were protrayed really well in the drama version. The Xiao Jue in the novel felt too cold and didn't much express his feelings as straightforward as in the drama version. I loved the way, cheng lei and zhou ye protrayed Xiao Jue and He yan. So, the drama version is really good in this aspect. But i must say the plot in the novel was intense and good compared to the drama. I understand that banning of the reincarnation in Cdrama, made them change the plot but i still felt that the script writer could still take some more of the plot and scenes from the novel and adapt and place accordingly in the drama version. Such as: 1- Showing us more of Xiao Jue's past and making us understand him more in the drama. 2 - Focusing a little more in depth of He yan in the drama 3 - Showing and adapting more strategies in the jiyang and the last wutou battle. Last battle really lacked in the drama. I felt that they could've done better 4 - He rufei and Xu jingfu's characters lacked in comparison to the novel. I felt that He rufei in the drama was more childish and wasn't as meticulous and cautious as in the novel 5 - Chu zhou's screentime could be reduced and given to the the 1st three things i have mentioned 6 - The last 3 episodes episodes could have adapted some of the good plot or scenes from the novel instead of Chu zhou's jealousy and him trying to separate the main couple. This made his character out of place because he is very clever.
Honestly i didn't like how Chu zhou was more focused than Xiao Jue and He yan sometimes. I felt that they explained and tried to make us understand and connect to him, more than the main leads. Except for all these aspects, I loved and enjoyed the drama very much!! I just feel that if they had made these changes and if the previous actor playing cheng lisu, didn't have such a scandal and so many scenes hadn't been edited, the drama would be more delightful and top-tier!!
Why are all the kiss scenes except for the 1st two, like a glimpse for 5 secs?? They are way too short😭 and also do they really need to show CZ face after every kiss scene?? They made CZ's reactions and emotions unnecessarily too long and the kiss scenes super short😭 I can't believe they gave half screentime for CZ which is equal to the main leads' screentime, when usually they have more. Aside that the cheng lei and zhou ye's portrayal of XJ and HY is too good. Their acting is amazing. I could feel their chemistry through the screen!! They nailed the fight scenes too! Wish we got more scenes from them, proper kisses, unrushed wedding and few more after wedding scenes. Anyways, i enjoyed the show, despite it having many plot holes and the lacked story. Thanks to our adorable main leads and few other enjoyable characters🥰
LMF's case was used as a precedent. Poor thing... but he has a criminal mind.
When you face constant criticism and not kindness from the society even if you were not at fault, you will start to resent everything and your brain will be altered to becoming more and more criminal like. You will not think what you are doing wrong anymore and kind of valid because you are blinded by anger and resentment. That was the case for li mufeng. It was well depicted by the actor and the show
Whether he is the main lead or a guest star, Bai Jingting performance always ate. I'm just sad that he wasn't…
Yes. Bai Jingting nailed the character. It's such a shame that he wasn't able to prove, his case was a justifiable defense or maybe special defense. I feel so sorry for him. Because he was a sacrificed for the betterment of the society, which was unfair. Apart from this fact, i loved the drama. It was very realistic and beautifully crafted!
SY only wanted to rent a place at WYF apartment complex but it wasn't in his intention to live in the same exact…
Yes. You're right. It's just that he's answer is way too confident and fast that i was confused for a second, after all he planned his own fate many times😂
He just said it to annoy Xianglang but in a conversation he had with Su Haoan at overtime it was shown how he…
Yes. I know. It's just that he was so fast and confident in his answer that i had second thoughts and was confused. As Sang Yan has a track record with planning his own fate😂
I was rewatching TFF and noticed in ep 4, when Xiang Lang asks Sang Yan whether he knew that his roommate is going to be Wen Yifan before he moves in with her, and SY answers yes, that's why he decided to move in. Did he really knew it and pretended not to or was he just lying to annoy Xiang Lang?
Well said! I have nothing to add. The people hating on Yi Fan seem to be doing this deliberately to put down TFF.…
You are right, but i couldn't help but notice you used a past tense instead of present tense, to reply. It should be 'I agree with you' instead of 'I agreed with you'. And that's okay. Mistakes happen sometimes, since we are not perfect and doesn't need to be perfect either. What matters is conveying yourself and communicating with others. Hope you realize that.
was rewatching ep 26 to verify something i heard - @36:14 ZSQ actually mentioned that WYF has been in HK for 1.5…
I heard it as 'yī nián bàn zǎi' and searched it in google and found that there is difference between this and 'yī nián bàn' which seem similar but are totally different. 'yī nián bàn' means '1.5yrs' and 'yī nián bàn zǎi' means 'a long time has passed'. So, the translation 'for a long time' is correct. It can mean anything, 6 or 8 months, but no specific number of months or years.

normally this plot isjust what i like but after 4episodes i feel so bored. the female lead has no personality…
The first few episodes focus on how FL perceives her life as nothing exciting, nothing much value in her life and just exsisting because of her past trauma. It has depressing tone at the start but it will slowly shift when Ml gets more and more involved in her life. But i do agree that it is really slow since it's a slow burn and some aren't really into it. So, it's upto you if you want to continue or stop. I'll suggest trying a few more episodes but if you're still not into it, then it would be better to stop it
I wasn't bothered by Sang Yan following Yi Fan during sleepwalking. I loved that part so much because you can…
This!!! I totally agree!! Like i've been frustrated with people calling him stalker all over MDL and social media! Have people really forgotten that he witnessed her mother handing her over to her aunt in her father's funeral and how aunt's family treated her?? Even if he didn't know the whole situation and upto how much worse it is, he still knew somewhere deep down that there is something wrong with her family and that they didn't really care or understood her.
He also knows how she is (the type that bottles up her emotions inside and doesn't express much) as they were close friends. So, even if she pushed him away and said he bothers her, he couldn't understand what and where did it go wrong. Because her reactions before didn't really match her words. So, how would he not worried when he knew there wasn't anyone who truly cared for her.
So, being the type Sang Yan is, he wanted know how she was doing, for her and also for himself. He flew to Yihe once in a while, even though he didn't get much glimpse of her. He kept his promise with her of being by her side, since she didn't really have much people who cared for her after her father died. This really touched my heart and also WYF's heart, because he was the only person who genuinely cared for her and loved her. I seriously don't understand how this whole thing turned into some creepy stalking fiasco!! People truly don't know what stalking is and how terrifying it can be!
Does anyone want to make a discord group and chat about TFF? All the things you want to share and talk about it? Because i'm still not over this drama and i can see many of you are not as well. What do you think?
