How come? I didn't watched it yet, could you tell me more about the queer-baiting in it?
I thought that was a man on the cover, holding another man >< Then I had to go through athousand pages to find the name of this drama (because for some reason I can't click the links on MDL's homepage). Then I find that in fact it is a woman holding the man on the cover- it's just because I rarely ever see women with really short hair in these dramas. I'm sorry for any confusion I caused.
Believe it or not, I actually liked MoRan at the beginning, and I still kinda do. I've been doing a little thinking, and I've come to the conclusion that I don't like the author's writing style and her perception of certain things. To me, it felt like she was pushing those beliefs and motives onto the reader- and I just couldn't bring myself to continue reading.
Oh no, I understand you completely. The story was just too much for me, and I wasn't reading it at the right time. I admit, I did skip over a few chapter before DNF-ing it, so I know I missed some important character development and whatnot. I planned on re-reading the novel until after I watched the drama, because I am/was interested in the plot.
Everybody's allowed to have their own opinion. And the main reason why I didn't particularly like the book was because the plot points didn't really sit right with me. I could go on for hours talking about every little thing, but it's not like I despised the book, I just don't agree with the character's actions and how people really enjoyed the book despite it romanticising rape and rape victims.
