I keep coming back to this page because I love how humors and sane some comments are. It shows people can have fun despite some level of frustration this show gives with all the plot holes and all.

BUT:
1. those of you who take it seriously and keep calling people toxic - calm your tities.
2. those of you who can't take a joke and offend people for their choices - calm your tities.
3. those of you who can't see the difference between an actor and his role - calm your tities.

Bottom line: CALM. YOUR. TITIES.
If life ain't as cool as a kdrama (and it kind of sucks with the pandemic and all) that is in no way an excuse to run of the track and slowly slide into a fantasy in such way you kind of defend characters as if they are real people. Calm. your. tities. Go out, get a bf, get a job, get a sense of humor while you are at it.

I like HPJ character since ep 1. I particularly side with people who like this character as well, it's not magic, it's psychology. But I do not offend anyone who likes other characters. I do however have mixed feeling about people who offend real people over some fictional characters. Just what on earth is wrong with people? Fangirling was supposed to be fun, not psycho.

If you feel like insulting a real human being over some written story about some fictional character and one's choice to like or not, you need to stop and think. You are acting like an extremist who can only count to 1.

Now that I got that off my mind, guys, I am watching "While you were sleeping" and there's that damn baseball again :)))))) For the love of my life... I just can't :)))

i must say, you are kinda the only person i see here insulting one side (while being on the other) I've seen comments about both characters..rarely on the people who like one or another. So my advice would be: keep it clean. we're having fun, leaving jokes, etc. People who take it seriously ruin all the fun. Rephrase that to "hpj is a zombie" stop picking on people who like him or hate him, it's immature.

Now, on the other side, i'm curious. Real question here. Is NDS.... a woman?

It's full of parallels as if the writer wants to let go of the idea regarding destined love. For example, see? You two act, think, feel the same, yet... she'll pick the aggressive crybaby simply because it's unexpected. WELL IT IS NOT! YOU PUT HIM ON THE POSTER DAMN IT! at this point, the surprise would be if NDS is a woman and HPJ got the ring for him.

Aww, guys, we have a young one, full of hope. Hahahahaha!

Paranoia level:

"The one who played young HPJ is playing the younger version of the main lead in "while you were sleeping", Bae Suzy's love interest, the one she ends up with. SO basically the writer's stories and worlds follow a pattern. If you can see the PPT presentation I made with all the analysis.. What's that? Sleep? I don't need sleep, sleep is for the weak! "

I believe this show has given one of the most interesting second leads and I fear it will only go down in kdrama land history for this :))
Now, I truly hope there is a plot twist if not for the second lead obviously the majority has an affection for, but for the damn plot. I hope it will be good...and not just a random story...because it started out beautifully. Maybe that is why it's called start-up. It starts well. Hahaha

and i totally agree :( i wanted to put this on my 10/10 because of him (where I have Signal and Stranger 1) but the plot is just too frustrating regarding the other characters and after the show I will probably rate this kinda low.. (i rate only after i see the entire series and don't rate the ones i drop) ...

so many times that you take a shot each time he cries you need to watch the episode again after sobering up.

those two kissed on the roof, but i'm guessing the picture from instagram with HJP and SDM is a breakup. I'm 99% sure.. :( it's gonna be the scene where they have the talk and it's gonna be all "i told you you'll regret choosing me. ah nooo I am grateful to you for making my childhood happy, but I love NDS and well.. bye!" : ))))

just started this because I need a good old Stranger 1 vibe, get some action and forget about what Start-up did to me with that damn love triangle and romance plot :))))))

Yeah, but even though there are so many parallels between HPJ and SDM (like..literally the show if full of them) and they seem to be destined I am way too scared to hope :))
Plus, another thing that brings ratings down is the fact that the start-up is barely a thing... it's just the damn love triangle. They need to make it interesting fast or else not even that ship 90% of us have is gonna make any difference :)))

8.8 - i still believe they will give HPJ a chance to be happy with the woman he would do anything for.
8.7 -i still believe they will give HPJ a chance to be happy.

8.6 - i still believe they will at least cover the plot holes and give us more screen time with other actors
8.5- i still believe they will at least cover the plot holes

8.4 - at least the last episodes are about start-ups
8.3 - at least it's gonna be over soon and there will be no more room to make it worse...
