Yes, it is and I totally agree with you. They might not even be expecting their series to be a hit, given the low budget and just when their popularity took off as an on screen couple this happened. Understandably, a lot of fans are invested more in their pairing rather than the series itself and I’m one of those hoping they get cast again in a longer series with a much better budget. But from the comments, some fans are already dropping this pairing and it really makes me sad 😢 I hope in the future, if they get paired with actors who are already in a relationship in real life, they can still feel comfortable acting like their characters during live broadcasts.

It’s a little sad, actually and I had to admit those fans do have a point. In the past few live broadcasts, many fans noticed that RJY was being too “cautious” and at times awkward. They say that GRF seemed to be the only one carrying out the conversation and there were times RJY didn’t know how to respond and once, he avoided physical contact until GRF picked up on that and kept her distance, too. So netizens were quick to dig up information about RJY and found a girl who seems to be with him in different locations. Some of the posts were shared during the filming of EITDN back in October last year. Based on the interaction between them, they had cause to believe they were dating and probably were classmates in college. It’s all over Douyin and it’s now being talked about in Kuaishou, too. The point of these fans is that there’s nothing wrong with having a girlfriend, but he’s an actor, and part of promoting his series is being cooperative during live broadcasts so the “CP feel” of the main leads will keep the fans supporting the series and them as actors. I’ve seen the clips from the live broadcast and it made me sad that GRF seemed to be cautious, too like she’s afraid she might be offending someone. But in any case, I’d still be watching their projects in the future 😊

The main leads ended up together so it’s a happy ending for them but in the end of the final episode, they found a note that says “Don’t give up. The story is far from over.” I only used Google translate so I’m not sure if this is accurate. It’s a bit of a cliffhanger so there might be a season 2.

I deliberately waited for the series to finish before starting because I’m still heartbroken after Snowfall and right now I can’t handle a sad ending 😅 I’ve seen clips of the final episode that hints at a second season but the way the ML is being roasted on Douyin and Kuaishou I’m not holding my breath. I just hope their CP still gets the support it did with this series and I’m still supporting both actors. The FL in my opinion deserves more support from the fans. Maybe it’s because I’m in my forties already so I can kind of “detach” myself from main leads’ chemistry and not ship them so I don’t get disappointed if one is already dating someone else in real life.

Love Between Fairy and Devil is my grand passion among the dramas I loved, and I loved many. No other drama has touched me as deeply as it did. No other has engaged all my emotions. I laughed as much as I cried. I dreaded about what’s going to happen in every episode as much as I anticipated and yet, I don’t want the drama to end.

Maybe someday I can fall in love with another drama again, but I’m pretty sure, I’d still love LBFD more.

Yes, it was really sad. He was such a good man and so undeserving of all the heartaches he’d been through… his mother’s desertion, his brother’s controlling and manipulative attitude towards him, his unrequited love for XLH… He was the only SML I truly liked out of all the dramas I watched. I was hoping he could have his own HEA. Imagine being almost twice married to the one you always loved - first, the fake wedding in the mortal realm, and second at the interrupted wedding in the Heavenly Realm. Sigh 😞💔💔💔

Yes! That already showed how deeply in love he was already with her. Even her faults, he found adorable and he said before that he didn’t regret saving her. Villains really do make the best lovers.

One of my favorite lines from DFQC:

I don’t know why, but I find this a lot more romantic than him telling her “I love you.”

In episode 26. They already have feelings for each other before that but it’s on episode 26 when they became open about it.
