In 2017, she was the main lead in Haunted Hotel movie, a collaboration of China-Thailand-Malaysia. The movie itself was a success but, knowing that she learned Mandarin for her role, that was impressive. The hotel where they did the movie used to be list in the Top 10 Most Haunted Hotel in Asia. It may drop from the list but still notorious for it's creepiness. And for Aom to even step foot in there and acted scene based on true story, applause to her.
For the ending of book 2, according to the comments, Zhang Yuan past away.
And so, the translator decided not to translate book 2; because they never got together. There's always obstacles in their relationship. Which in my opinion is stupid because if only one of them let go of their ego, then things can be sort out.
I watched the first episode then the last episode and am glad I did not spend anymore time on this drama because the ending was 'meh'. What kind of plot twist was that? I was hoping for some justice for the secondary couple and guess what? It's the same 'meh' ending.
He was cheeky in Guardian, aloof in Suddenly This Summer, cool in Memory Lost and even though he played the antagonist in Love 020, he pulled it off.
He graduated from one of the best academy in China, have a cute girlfriend (rumors are flying left and right about him and Liu Mengmeng), have great personality and came from money (again, according to his hardcore fans). I'm not even going to mention his look because for a guy in his late 20's to play a high school student (Suddenly This Summer), that was impressive. In fact, his fans were saying the character Zhao Yun Lan (Guardian) is him. Zhao Yun Lan came from money, a leader at a young age, have a cute boyfriend and good looking.
I'm happy he is getting the recognition he deserve. And hopefully, he's still in contact with his co-stars even as friend because pair him him with anyone, the chemistry was sizzling.
It's about the two main lead who met in high school, became a couple and promised to enter the same uni only to end up in uni at different states and then getting employed in companies in different countries. As they reminisce their past, the viewer was left to question 'do they get together in the end'.
It's a good ending because it's a perfectly logical yet extremely sad one. They may make bets or promise to meet…
In the book, Kun Lun was a god who sacrificed himself. Shen Wei made a request for him to be reincarnate but to do so, Kun Lun had to be reincarnate as human because god don't have soul. It resulted in memory and power lost. And Shen Wei had to take over his job making him the new god or equivalent.
I'm guessing fans were relating the drama and the book even though it was two different things as in the drama, the Underground people were mutants. So, when Shen Wei died, it meant as god, he have no soul to be reincarnate.
Then there was Zhao Yun Lan who sacrificed his soul to light the Underground. His soul was needed to light the lamp. Again, the chance of reincarnation was slim for him.
The Zhao Yun Lan we saw receiving the flowers was in fact a mutant who took on his look (said to be the same mutant who possessed his dad).
And so, the author wrote an epilogue to tie the book and the drama by saying that what happened in the drama was an alternate universe that both lead went into to kill the bad guy. Apparently, they went into lots other universe before the event in the drama. And they did not die as per the drama but just went back to the real world where they hang out at the beach or something because that alternate universe (the drama) was the last universe they had to enter. And so, they all live happily ever after. The end.
Below is the link to the ending of book 1.
