Im in the middle of watching this. I've read the novel, after I watched reunion. I've watched the movie the "conjuring curse". Prior to this I watched the lost tomb 2. And few years ago, I dropped the lost tomb 1, cause honestly can't get into it. At first I thought that reunion will be the best adaptation cause the author himself directed the drama. But after watching this, even if only 28 eps, I understand why people say it's the best adaptation of daomu biji novel. From the plot, even though there's small changes in the storyline, it doesn't change the entire plotline. The actors really gave the best portrayals of the characters from the novel. Even the side characters give you a stunning interpretation of the characters. So overall I'm satisfied with what I watched until ep 28. Gonna watch the rest now..
I Watch the reunion first cause of zhu yilong, and because I like it, I started watching this. and, prior to this, I've read the novel. And it's good, it's intriguing, always make me excited. But watching this, I can't get into it, so in the end, I dropped this drama.
I finish this drama today!!!! Surprisingly, I don't feel heartbroken or even sad with the ending. It's seems my mind already make the ending for me. So whatever I saw in the drama, doesn't matters. I'm satisfied with everything this drama have to offer.
But I like the serious wu xie. If he is not capable of fighting or figuring things out, then tell us why he would…
Well to each their own then. I just like this Wu xie a little less than other Wu xie from other TLT adaptation. For me, Wu xie is a cheeky, playful but smart person. He is less cheeky and playful after the bronze door. But not to this extent that he seems cold, even to xiao ge and pang zi. Being cheeky and playful didn't make Wu xie a little less smart. He is still the brain of the trio.
Have been postponed watching it since last year. And last week, i picked it up and holy mother.. I'm hooked!!! This drama is soo good. From the visual, storyline, the characters, the acting, heck I even love that small bit of romance that we get (I usually skip romance whenever I can). I like the Trio Li-Fang-Di dynamic. Their bickering is always hilarious. I also like the support role, like the princess and the saintess. For qiao wanmian, I have mix feeling. On one side, I understand why xiao zijin become insecure of her feelings for him, based on her attitude that still so hung up on everything about li xiangyi. But on the other side, I like how she still proceeds with the wedding, even though she knows that li xiangyi still alive. The only reason she call off the wedding is because xiao zijin start with his "li xiangyi's smearing campaign".
Where's my iron triangle??? The acting, the action is good. But they lost the chemistry between the iron triangle.. wu xie, you're too serious, not even the "almost" dead wu xie in sound of providence is this serious. Pang zi, you left your loud mouth somewhere, a little bit tame for my taste.. and xiao ge, the only time you show up is when its action time.
