I think Gil-chae is about 18 or 19 Jang-hyun is in his mid or late thirties

if you watch properly you would understand only Gil Chae and Scarlett are somewhat similar others are not. They're very different characters. And PLOT doesn't follow GWTW

Could be co-incidence or based on Gone with the Wind. Either way I don't see a problem with it. Movies and shows do get remakes all the time.

I'd say it is may be intentional because while both Gil Chae and Lee Jang Hyun are have somewhat similar characteristics, at first Gil Chae is extremely immature. She was living delulu LOL. LJH is cunning, strategist and mature. He can see Gil Chae through like a glass like every goddamn thing she does and why she does them

I think they want to portray the contrast between them. I actually think LJH looks his age, a young man like Yeon Jun can never have such a level maturity and experienced in fighting with barbarians in their early 20s.

It wasn't love at first sight for either of them. It more of like curiosity.

From what I saw in the first ep he doesn't understand why the men in this village think of highly of the FL so he wants to know what so special about her.

The romantic arc comes from the future cause they narrate what happens in the past. may be that why we feel such intensity.
