What a great ending! It satisfied everything for me. Since I've known the second lead is a prince i've always thought that he must be for sure also born on 19th november since Nok Du doesn't look like he'll be king. I've also cried when he told the king. I've also loved the queen, to bad we didn't get more scenes with her. This drama is worth watching only for that ending alone.
The best part about this drama is Jae Ha's character development. The way he grew out of his selfish and irresponsible ways to becoming a true king and how he grew over time to respect and love Hang Ah truly really impressed me. Many dramas try to do this but most fail too.
Why..... just why...... I cannot get over this drama, it's been months since i've first watched it I really need HEEEEELP (or more dramas starring Mike because daaaamn that man is waay too charming for my poor little heart)
If anyone is wondering if you should watch this then DO IT. Not just because it is actually a great lakorn, great characters, actual communication between the leads and their relationship dynamics and chemistry is great so no stupid misunderstandings here and no villains that interfere with the leads relationship and don't worry and since she is kidnapped we have a looot of scenes with them being together to satisfy you (REAL KISSES *swoon*), but also because Mike is too handsome to miss and his character here is so freaking charming (he is my favorite ML ever in a lakorn and trust me, i've watched enough of them to know my way around one).
Maybe it is an unpopular opinion, but this drama also dethroned Kleun Cheewit as my favorite lakorn ever. This is mostly because this drama has higher rewatch value since it is lighter and a more enjoyable watch, while Kleun Cheewit, which is an awesome lakorn, one of the best, but is definitely more frustrating to watch (which is actually the case for most lakorns 😂😂😂)
And now I triggered myself and just gonna go watch this again for the nth time....
woow I love it when the pairing in a drama takes me by surprise like here since I've never considered this combination, it makes me even more excited for this drama
I am someone who has watched 3 dramas of the actress and I've stopped trying to watch anymore. I don't like her acting. She is not someone I enjoy watching, she's usually way too loud for myself, I mostly find her annoying and feel that her acting is way too exagerated. This also stopped me from giving Kill Me Heal Me a solid 10, because besides her, that drama hit all the right places for me.
But now, I've been reading too many good about this drama and do not know if I should give it a try. What do you say (preferably from someone who has/had the same opinion as me for the actress)
As much as I liked this drama I hated the FL's wardrobe. I never understood why she dressed like a grandma in both worlds. It really put me off every time I saw her
Fl's reason for breaking up is one of the stupidest i've seen: just because he has money. She kept mentioning how she didn't want to bring their son into his world of upper class, richness etc. Seriously stupid considering that his family, both his mom and sister were good person and very supportive of her and actually wanted him to marry her over that cheating evil spoiled brat of a second female lead (which is a true rarity in lakorn world) . Even if his uncle, aunt and cousins were not that good, they were not evil either and honestly they don't matter as much as his mom and sister. He could have handled them easily. He himself was not a spoiled rich guy, but he was working for his money.
I was seriously infuriated by most of her decisions. I usually like a cold and down to earth female lead but I couldn't with this one. It's funny considering how in lakorns mens are usually jerks and they are the ones I don't like, here it was the opposite. He was actually a pretty decent male lead who respected her (so hard to find in a lakorn again) and actually pursued her after falling in love almost immediately but suffered greatly because of the STUPID STUPID STUUUUUUUPID decisions of the FL. There were actually no villains that you can usually find in lakorns here that intervene with the couple. Even the SML after the FL told him she had gotten engaged to the ML, which is before all the stupid drama came, he acted decently, he suffered but accepted it like a man. All the angst and misunderstanding derive solely from the idiotic decisions of the FL.
Another thing that bothered me most was that she never told the SML that she doesn't like him romantically, she only sees him as a brother until the guy found out that the kid he had been raising was not his (towards the end of the lakorn). And she tells him like he should have known this, it was obvious. Well at least it was not obvious for me. In the beginning the guy had been asking her to marry him and she only told him that she's not ready for marriage. EXCUSE MEE??? Of course the guy had been waiting for over 10 years for her since she's been so wishy-washy. Everybody around them considered them boyfriend and girlfriend and she never corrected them. When someone asked her if they would marry she told them that you never know what can happen in the future. EXCUUSE MEE AGAAIN???? Where is the brotherly love here cause I personally don't see it 😂😂😂 This is the first drama where I felt that the FL actually kept the SML as a spare tie in case she doesn't find someone she loves and then just kicked him to the curve.
The main storyline with the gallery and the evil guy started to bore me in the second half but I continued to watch it for the characters. This drama excels in the portrayal of its characters, the leads and almost every single character was interesting to watch and together they were just delightful
I've watched enough dramas with girls pretending to be boys but this actress is really killing it. I found her to be really attractive as a man even if she does look delicate since she is a woman (this never happened to me in this type of dramas) and the first time I listened to her speak I got goosebumps. I am freaking in love with her voice and the tone of it. She sounds awesome and I could listen to her voice all day
The sequel is a lot better than this. I'm not saying this is a bad drama, is actually good compared to most lakorns. but the sequel just tops the cake. And I also believe that it's mostly because of the female lead.
These two female leads just cannot compare. The princess here is your usually princess-like, proper and always smiling female lead. She was nice to watch but after some time her love line with the male lead got a little bit boring. I also felt that they feel in love way too quickly, it was just like they looked at each other two times all googly eyes and bam they feel in love. I actually never understood why and when he fell in love with her.
I've also enjoyed the second couple, especially the female second lead. If only that stubborn Yuparach had gotten over his obsession with the princess a little bit earlier, and we could have seen more romantic moments between the two they would have been absolutely perfect. (As a note, I rarely enjoy second lead couples and usually skip their scenes especially in lakorns so this is a plus)
While in the sequel, the female lead was WAAAY better. She was feisty, stubborn and a pain in the ass sometimes 😂😂 She kicked, screamed and argued with the ML (which is totally normal considering he kidnapped her) and at the same time we can see exactly how these two fell in love and how conflicted she was by being attracted to him and this made the whole story more interesting. Their love story is better because I actually could relate to the FL and agreed with all the decisions that she made.
And I've always known that Mike is handsome but he was absolutely magnificantly drop dead gourgeous in the sequel. I've seen a lot of his dramas but I haven't swooned over him in any of them as hard as I did in the sequel .
Hahaha how did the two actors, the brother and the mother of the ML feel when acting this drama since she is actually two years younger than him 😂😂😂 Imagine having to call someone younger than you mom 😂😂
This drama is worth watching only for that ending alone.

So trust the ML rating and watch this.
