I usually love anything Japanese but unfortunately this was not the case with this show. It started out cute and then it got a bit interesting and then it flatlined. Not sure if it was just because of the writing or if it was the casting, probably both.

The acting was good. The intentional awkwardness of the couple was fine. But the story was weak and they seem like the most unlikely of couples. And the lack of communication. Are they a couple or arent they? Even the couple themselves weren't sure. It was a bit odd!

Update:
I tewatched this after 3 years. I can't believe it's been that long. My rating hasn't changed. But I thought I remembered likeing it better thsn this review sounds! After rewatching it I did enjoy it. I was frustrated by the whole I'm going to leave for a year and apparently not talk to you either. That doesn't make sny sense. Communicating across continents is a thing that can happen if you really wanted to keep this relationship current and moving. But that is my biggest complaint this time around!
