i think its because they shot the series backwards, last episode (21) was their first kissing scene together on screen (and i believe their first scene shot together on set?), meaning we're probably not gonna get anymore but i could be incredibly off base here. i'm also not one to complain about nc scenes but it felt kind of dumb to make the setting so sensual everytime theyre in bed w one another with the waterbed and toys only for them to... do nothing? like they couldve easily done it all without the flashy stuff. it was only slightly frustrating to watch, but im not entirely mad because ep 1-12 really made up those moments thoroughly. i think this part of their relationship is just being mature & domestic w one another, not having to really "certify" anything anymore because they KNOW theyre in love with eachother and have a future set out together that only involves e/o

Okay that provides a bit more insight and is an interesting interpretation. There's definitely an element of saving face but knowing CC's love for WW, I thought he didn't really care about that stuff and would have just ran to his arms with love because of the high tension in the air. Also, I feel like WSW more accountable for the breakup so he was *actually* internalizing what was being said instead of lashing out. Because from what we saw in E18, it seemed like CC ultimately took the breakup worse (and how he was willing to look past WSW's faults until he spitefully ended it) Again, I just thought it was kind of insane after a funeral because my energy would have been depleted and I think any reasonable person wouldn't try to provoke another right then and there, but those two are anything from reasonable and thats that's their love language ig

im asian... this is such a weird comment and assumption to make 😭 i very well understand it i just found it a bit uncomfortable because I've never encountered a situation like that. With everyone's interpretations I'm definitely understanding it more but in my eyes it was still a low blow that seemed slightly illogical because CC is more calculated and knew how soft his heart was for WW, so what did he get out of that? I don't know, gratification for one second?

I thought CC's anger was justified, but he came to visit his ex boyfriend's MOTHER'S house right after her funeral just to curse at him, like I would've been fine with it except in that extremely vulnerable moment. CC's remarks were quite literally about how it made him happy seeing him cry in front of him until he realized how bad he hurt him. Which, again, I understand because WSW did act extremely cruel, but I never expected CC's character to go even that far when he was so close to WSW's mother.. idk

This is really sappy but I'm honestly really scared nothing is ever going to fulfill the gap in my heart that RL has. As a queer guy raised in a really violently homophobic and religious environment, I really suppressed my sexuality altogether until a couple years ago and RL brought me SO much comfort. Indulging in BL's and Yaoi has honestly been, as embarrassing as it is, a healing process. Revenged Love in particular, has brought me to tears (and I don't think I've cried to anything except the kdrama WLGYT). It felt so amazing seeing a series have so much detail and character like mainstream shows did because it finally let me understand what a lot of straight people must feel when consuming romance media. Something about both WSW and CC felt incredibly relatable and I don't think I've ever seen a BL live up to it's quality like RL did. I had to watch my mom suffer from chemo for a year and it ate me alive because I heard a lot of the same requests and wishes, and I really understood WSW just silently nodding and trying to appease. It's moments like those that made the series hit so close to home. Anyways, Ziyu and Tian Xu Ning did such a phenomenal job and I am SO attracted to both of them. 24 episodes of love, comfort, angst, and being unapologetically queer could not have been packaged better. I needed this show in my life so bad and it's quite literally one of the few things that made my entire summer. I set alarms to wake up at 8 AM just to watch episodes when they came out and I am so scared to let go. The immersion RL brought into my life was so powerful, and I cannot thank the entire crew enough for bringing this show to life in such a precious way. There's only four more episodes left, and I have no doubt each and every one will tug my heart strings like the rest of the series did. I am so thankful for this series and will look back on it with such warmth and fondness. 💗💗💗

I understand it was the writing but it was a bit frustrating to watch — especially the jagged jump between "cry, you deserve it" and "dont cry" like ?!?!?

i definitely think so but i have very little hope for most passionate stuff especially NC scenes. I'm pretty sure they cut most of it out from EP 15 or 16(?) i think when they were on the waterboard

did anyone here watch the show adults (2025)? that's what i interpreted the kiss as. yes i know theres huge cultural nuances but i felt like all three of them were so close to the point ws wasnt offended if they did but then they sorta started frenching and it rightfully made him upset. the same thing kinda happened at the end of adults and i think its an interesting parallel

omg I'm absolutely loving this loophole for Chinese BLs. I really hope they can continue because between Desire, RL, and now this I could not be more happier. CBLs are on another league of their own.
