For those that keeps going “why did XiaoZhuo fall in love with WenXiao, he saw fake demon WenXiao and suddenly caught the feels, I prefer a friendship with ZhuYan only, etc.” Did we all really watched the same drama?

The two spent 8 years together, being each other’s biggest support during their darkest hours, days. They were the light each other needed to continue on. It’ll be weird be super weird to not catch feelings at all. For him it was more than sibling/aunt love (he never had any friends so she was his first) but for her it was aunt/nephew love because she already has crush and she continues to wait for him.

In an interview CDL did say WenXiao had a crush on the masked demon around her master and her. He took care of her when she lost her master, brought her to a safe place. ZhuYan left her and told her he’ll return to her so she kept it to heart and waited, waited and returned he did. Her crush towards him grew into love when she found out he was the masked demon.

XiaoZhuo gave us lots of hints of his affections for her but many prefer the bl trope refused to see or accept those hints. These were my biggest ones from early on. Did you not see his eyes, the emotions behind them when ZhuYan said “if she dies, I will die too” in ep 3. Did you not see the look yet again when he found out ZhuYan was indeed the man WenXiao spoke of, the man that was friends with her master? When he got in the way to prevent ZhuYan from resting his head on her shoulder? The way he slap ZhuYan’s hand so he couldn’t pull her to rest on his shoulder during the plague and then he gently pulls her away from ZhuYan? You can even see before ZhuYan attempted, XiaoZhuo’s hand was indeed itchy to pull her to rest on his shoulder.

Heck, even the bgm during such scenes screams heartache for him. But many pushed them aside and would say it’s bl, he just jealous cuz WenXiao is in his way of ZhuYan. Dude is just uptight, duty first before romance so he will never take that step forward. Even if he does, it’s too late but he’ll never do it cuz of his love for her, his newfound friendship with ZhuYan. He’s one of those that is content if their beloved ones are happy.

It’s too simple so I think he’s not dead.

lol what did you expect when they grew up together? They were there for each other in their darkest times. He lost his family, she lost her master. He never took that one extra step forward tho.

This is almost like that discussion some of us had in here about some always hating female leads if they’re weak and even when they’re super op. How toxic male leads are always loved despite being a major red flag while female leads are shit on. An actress will be shit on when she expertly plays female lead and villainess while a male actor that plays both is always loved.

So when a villain is hot, sexy, handsome, what happens? They’re sympathized with, cooed over. LiLun is bae so he got all the excuses while masked doc…yeah. 🥲

How I wished the stab scene in this latest episode was the future XiaoZhuo saw from YingLong and there will be no need to stab/kill ZhuYan at the end.

His end is too simple and easy. There must be something more. He can demonized other humans so nothing would stop him from doing it to himself. He would prob have more pleasure killing all demons himself than leaving it to others. ZhenMu barely panicked too. Unless he’s the real villain at the end? It’ll be weird to bring another random person to be the real villain.

I would say subtle? It’s like there yet not there? 😆 Lots of bromance and sismance too but the real real one is the romance between the main couple, ZhuYan and WenXiao. Their romance is super slow burn tho. Their chemistry is on fire, their scenes together are either super sweet, funny or heart wenching. You can tell 2ml does have the feels for fl but he doesn’t take that step.

LiLun…his words! And YingLei is the best boy ever! Listening and he even cried for LiLun! Beautiful and loyal AoYin…I wished LiLun would’ve shown AoYin more affection since it does seem like it was love at first sight for him. Another tragic couple added to the list for this drama. 😭

For sure psycho doc isn’t gone, he’s definitely the main villain, can’t be ZhenMu. He’s gonna rise back up from the ashes and cause terror. This is prob when our 3 op men team up together (ZhuYan, XiaoZhuo and LiLun).

Excited for next episode! ZhuYan and LiLun are due for a quiet setting and heart to heart talk.

Looks like WenXiao wasn’t lying when she told the dragon princess she’s poisoned and wants the dragon scale to detoxified. Her words became a sad truth which we should’ve known cuz the bgm was funny at first then changed to something emotional mid her speech in an attempt to get the scale. 😭 She doesn’t want to die but for the world she is willing…as expected of a Baize Goddess, sacrificing themselves for the world.

Awww! ZhuYan’s heart still hurting even with the contract torn. That’s how deeply he loves WenXiao that his heart continues to ache in fear she’s going to leave him. Please let the two have a happy ending! He always wanted to die and now she’s the one dying. She most likely tore the contract to stop his pain but also to saved him? Is that clause about her dying then he has to die also a part of the contract from episode 3?

lol WenXiao should’ve beat the two up for such a stunt with such a low probability. 🤣 Even I had a heart attack—It was beautifully excuted too, the music to the slowmo. Loved how XiaoZhuo was honest despite ZhuYan giving him the signal to lie with him lol YingLei was right, he can’t lie! I love how the two are only scared of her and how she can make them go quiet with just a look.

I just realized psycho doc is the source of WenXiao’s misfortunes and pain. Because of him she lost her father and now she might lose her love too.

I think the problem was he didn’t killed just the guards. He went and killed innocents upstairs in the pharmacy that had no clue about what’s going on downstairs. They were just regular citizens there to buy medicine.

Slow burn😭 But their chemistry is on fire and their scenes are cute, sweet to heart wrenching.
