It was beautifully done. We don’t need the typical smashing lips roughly together to get the longing and love main leads feel towards each other. This scene had more impact than any other love/confession scenes I’ve seen.

Their chemistry was lit since day one, episode one. Lol I feel many are just projecting her crazy role from TTEOTM to all her new characters, hating her cuz of that one role she nailed perfectly as a villainess. I actually prefer watching actors and actresses that can play main lead and villain/villainess roles. It shows how talented and versatile they are.
Each dramas have their own strong and weak points. You’ll just have to watch a few episodes to get a feel yourself. Everyone has their own taste in dramas. There’s no need to try and compare.

Can you guys imagine the turmoil, the range of emotions ZhuYan must’ve felt when he had no choice but to take off? He had to leave his friends and the one he loves and yearns deeply for, all behind just so he wouldn’t kill them. And he knows he left them in a bind, and it means WenXiao being taken away too.
Ugh, with each passing episodes I can’t see a HE at all. No couples so far have survived together so it’s a like a foreshadow that the main couple won’t be together either. All the couples are a reflection, reference to what will happen to the main couple.
Part of me was like, I’ll be fine if he lives and WenXiao goes—But then I realized he wants to be with her so if she dies…what’s the point of him living on without the one he wants to live with? 😭 She is the reason he wants to live so if she’s gone, why would he want to live?
