This doesn't even have a deep storyline... 9.1?! Are you kidding me? On what basis?!
No it's not that deep but at least it doesn't pretend to be, like 80% of dramas these days. For me the rating is deserved. I watched most of the top rated dramas on kisskh and loved many of them but each of them is a different genre and I wouldn't even try to compare them, there's nothing to compare, they're often unique. This deserves the rating within the romantic-comedy genre, definitely.

ive been putting this off for soooo long because from the few clips ive seen it seems kinda cheesy and cliche??…
Cliche not at all, it breaks a lot of them actually. Without spoiling, there are some scenes where you think you know where it's going and you're prepared to roll your eyes but then the drama suprises you and you have to laugh out looud. Cheesy depends on what you mean. Is there lots of cute skinship, like hugging, kissing, handholding? Yes. Does the main couple visibly like each other? Yes. Is it romantic? Yes. If that's what you mean by cheesy then I'd have to say yes, but it's possible that you mean something else. I'd definitely recommend it if you're in the mood for something lighthearted that warms you from the inside.

Commenting again because it's up to a 9.1 rating. To everyone who hasn't seen this, trust me, it deserves the rating, it's not overrated believe me, especially because no one expected it to be this good and sadly it didn't even get the ratings it deserved in Korea, which is sad. It's a drama that won't disappoint you and will leave you feeling unbelievably happy (albeit empty) :) You won't regret watching it, I'm sure :)

This drama was utterly sweet, I can't believe it's over. For me, it was perfect, it was light hearted throughout, no excessive drama, no annoying dragging plot. How can such a drama exist? I'm so happy I gave this a go, after being disappointed how quick Legend of the Blue Sea got boring. Their relationship is goals, it's so real, the skinship is so natural, as it should be when you're together obviously! I feel so empty now...I can recommend this to anyone who's sick of the same style of drama trope "starts out good, gets serious, gets boring, couple gets together in last 10 mins of the drama". NAH this is not like that. This is serious friendship to couple right there. You'll get diabetes from the cuteness though, be warned! :D

Thanks for explaining your point of view, I can see where our thoughts on the matter differ and that's totally fine, just proves that different stories can appeal to different people :)
Ironically enough, I found Romeo and Juliet to be almost the least romantic thing I've ever read, I never could get behind why people called it a classical romance story. It's also very pointlessly tragic and the protagonists haven't even been together for long enough to justify their actions. They were both teenagers, Juliet barely 13, still children to me, not really knowing that loving someone 'til old age. devoting your life to that person, is a lot harder than sacrificing yourself for young, fresh "love". So sad, but I know that many people find it romantic and that's totally finde :-D

All was good until about ep 10 when it started to drag a little just to 'fill it up' for the remaining…
Thought the exact thing, droppped it on Episode 11 because it became a chore, is it worth it to watch the last Ep at least?

I can see from your comments on this page that you're very passionate about this drama, which I like :) For me it just didn't work I guess, I know that there's chinese source material, so that's why I said it's not entirely their fault and they had to work with what they got, but in general, many actions just seemed random. Hae Soo got more and more Out-of-Character towards the end. I get that she spent lots of time/years in Goryeo but she's too different from the beginning for me to enjoy. She mistrusts Wang So so easily after her flashbacks, when it was her trusting nature that made her popular with the princes. Hae Soo's character wouldn't doubt Wang So's whole persona just because of a short flashback, a rational person would know that giving in to mistrust would end in the exact results she doesn't want. She does it anyway. She became so serious towards the end that it's just not a pleasure to watch. Her behaviour, her withdrawal, her secretivness, is what made the ending so tragic. She refused to become Wang So's wife for the "greater good", for "his sake", looking back she has to know that this "nobleness" of hers was what made him end up emotionally alone in the end, so it was basically all for naught. She's ridiculous near the end, there's no meaning behind her leaving, only to silently suffer away and drown in self-pity and make Wang So feel bad at the end. Wang So has many faults as well, he became so impulsive and power-hungry that it wouldn't have made me happy had they gotten together. Their character development just went downhill...maybe that's what the writers intended, if so, kudos, I truly couldn't stand any of them near the end. As I said, I'd rewatch the first half anytime but the second half was just "Oh, let's create misunderstandings here, oh let's make him kill this guy and this guy, oh yes everyone's unhappy, hurray!"

Nah, I watched the SBS version but I don't mean confusing as in, there's missing stuff, I mean confusing as in... their actions are convulted and it's clearly the fault of the show's writers, they wanted the characters to achieve certain goals and give them certain characteristics by doing unnecessary complicated things and thereby created problems that could have been avoided. I don't want to spoil anything here but people who have watched the show will probably know what I mean. Some of the things that happened later on were just overly dramatic in order to create drama, which I don't like all that much.

I've not been watching chinese dramas in the last years but this one was really good. Don't let the 30 Episodes scare you, it never drags and it's not overly dramatic like the korean counterparts. If you want to feel continuously happy for 30 Episodes I truly recommend this. Don't expect any unnecessary misunderstandings, this show truly showed me that a drama can be good without having to put in conflicts for the main couple. This main couple loves each other and trusts each other and I never once doubted them. This is what made it great for me and what annoys me about k-dramas these days. Please give me a couple that truly trusts each other, I don't care about all the others dramatic plot twists. Can recommend this one whole-heartedly. (Although Zheng Shuang, please, learn to kiss damnit! You're not a dead fish, how can you not move your lips at alll when Yang Yang kisses you, holy cow)

Just like everyone else said, first half was great, loved it. It dragged quite a bit towards the end, though, using the same plot multiple times over, and the ending fell kinda flat to me, but I won't really fault it for that. Great idea, great actors, second half could have been better, like with so many K-Dramas, but I'm used to it and rarely expect anything else, so yeah. Good drama.

It's good and I will always remember it for its ending and generally making me cry buckets, but - only making me cry doesn't make it a perfect drama for me. The first half was good, the second half went downhill for me. The decisions and actions were just so confusing and I couldn't understand why certain characters did certain things. I get that they had to work with the source material somehow but it just got so confusing and overly and unnecessarily complicated/dramatic towards the end that, if I were to ever re-watch it, which I probably won't, I'd only watch the first half probably. It was good, can recommend it, but I won't remember it because of its brilliance but because it wanted to tear out people's heart, which it managed of course. I actually liked the ending, I would have hit my head against the wall if it had been different, too much had happened for it to happen any other way. Yeah well, good drama but could have been great, with a bit less rush towards the end. Oh and yes, the OST is brilliant, I have to say that.

Argh, just a little warning to all those who suffer from the same problem I have. I can't stand people eating noisily, it's actually nausea inducing to me. Usually I can cope, although of course K-Dramas are full of open mouthed chewing but this... woah, takes it to a new level. I couldn't. I had to stop after episode 3. I get that somehow the messy eating is a plot point for Louis but by episode three everyone was chewing noisily, smacking their lips, spitting food and talking with their mouth full. Can someone tell me if that stops sometime soon? I want to continue but when I watch I get really uncomfortable, goosebumps and nausea and everything included. Someone help :)

Overall this drama was good but had a lot of faults for me was well...I love Hwang Jung Eum and she has talent, but her role in this drama didn't give her any room to show it. The first few episodes are incredibly funny and got me hooked but she soon started turning into a "noble protagonist" and when I hate something with a passion it's noble protagonists. You know the kind, those who do the exact opposite of what you want them to do, always using the excuse of "doing what's best" for the other person. Bullshit, I love characters who chase after what they want, who don't choose for other people what's best for them. That's why I liked Another Oh Hae Young, she went after what she wanted, even if it meant giving up a bit of her pride. That's okay though, because it's like that in real life as well, more often than not. Choosing to loose your pride to go after your happiness is harder but still way more rewarding than being "noble" and having nothing but regret in your life. The drama redeemed itself a bit with the cute parts when they were actually together for a bit but shortly after that the whole "noble, walking away" thing started again and I basically skipped through the last two episodes. Could have been great, the actors are brilliant (Hwang's kisses are still a bit meh though), the male lead is absolutely perfect! But the writing...couldn't really save the drama, imo.

Title Oh My Ghost Spoiler
I really enjoyed this drama but I wish someone would have told me that for the majority of the drama the main guy isn't in love with the main woman but the ghost. If I had known that before, I would have watched it with different expectations. Now I feel a bit let down, all the best scenes that I usually love in a drama, the falling in love, the kisses, the skinship...all of these were with the ghost. For some this may not be a problem but it annoyed me a lot, just because they had the same body doesn't mean I can forget it's not really Bong Seon. Imagine if Soon Ae had be a real person in the drama, everyone would have hated her as the annoying second lead woman who was trying to steal the main lead.. For many it was okay because she was in Bong Seon's body but for me it just made me cringe and skip through the scenes.

The drama redeemed itself in the last 4 episodes where Bong Seon started to grow as a person and everything was revealed. And I loved the drama, I really did, I cried a bucket at the end, my eyes were puffy the next day, I tell you.

Still, things like this reduce the re-watch factor for me. If I were to re-watch it, I would skip Soon Ae's possession because it's basically the second lead he does the fun stuff with.

The acting was perfect, though, I have to say this. There were times were I almost forgot it wasn't REALLY a possession.

Overall good drama, but a fair warning to those who care about that stuff, he doesn't really do anything with Bong Seon until very late in the drama, it's all the ghost in the beginning.

Agreeing with all of these, so painful to watch. And annoying. I also hate Dramas that want the audience to feel bad for something that only happened because the character is stupid af.
