I don’t mind at all! Your friend request actually put a smile on my face :) thanks again, you seem to be a wonderful person ~ really looking forward to sharing more of our thoughts on future episodes!

I really appreciate you for this comment. Thanks a lot. I do understand that some people can be bothered by that take, but in all honesty, they can just scroll down and ignore our comments if they dislike us reminiscing about Ganghyun and including her within this season ourselves since she isn't being mentioned on screen. It's all we can have, really...
I understand that people can mean well when they recommend skipping this season as a solution, but a lot of us didn't only love Ganghyun, we love all of the OG cast and want to see them again, which is why we're continuing to watch despite feeling that constant void due to the absence of our female lead. If other people aren't minding her absence and are enjoying the season to the fullest, that's great, to each their own, really. Some of us on the other hand will enjoy parts of it but dislike other parts because of our attachment to the original cast, and I think that's okay too. Everyone watches it for different reasons, and we can all coexist without insulting each other.
Again, thank you very much for your respect and introspection. Thanks for not coming at me like many others would/have. Have a great day :)
So glad they're making the leads' dynamic strictly platonic this time. What a relief. If you've watched season 1, you'll immediately notice the stark difference between Ganghyun and Isoo's dynamic, which was full of romantic undertones from the beginning, and this new dynamic. While a minority deny the romantic hints between the original leads, the writer herself had confirmed that she was working toward their romance in season 2, so it's not like we were seeing things that weren't there. It was confirmed to be canon, so it's not like it's even deniable.
Also, some people are writing the most disrespectful and insulting comments toward fans who miss Ganghyun/Jihyun, while we're only out here expressing our opinion in the most respectful way without hurting anyone in the process...They can just ignore our opinion if they don't like it; it's not like we're attacking them personally like they're doing. Yeah. If not missing her makes us as rude as them, I'm glad I'm on this side of the fandom. No regrets.
I'm happy Seungho's soon going to be officially joining the plot! Sad he's a villain but I'm really looking forward to his role! Been a while
I love how Isoo and I have the same exact reaction and feelings about the new team leader appointment x) I can't be blamed if even the protagonist feels this way hahah
This case is much more interesting than the first! I also like how much more involved Changun is this season, I liked him since season 1 and always wished he had more screen time.
Junyoung's quite different now, both in appearance and personality...Anyway, hope we see more of Jiwon too
I had really enjoyed it at first, but always waited for them to show more of Taeju and Seyun, since everything that was happening was because of his strong love for her, but it always seemed like he was ready to profess and showcase his love for her to others but not her...That scene in which he told the kidnapper how much he wanted to kill him because every time he saw his face, he thought of the pain his wife had gone through, so much so that it drove him insane left me befuddled because for an inexplicable reason, he always acts cold and detached in front of her when the reality is that his heart bleeds of love for her. Why? Even after she found out everything he had been hiding, he still kept smothering his feelings in front of her. It was endlessly frustrating, and the divorce at the end was just the nail in the coffin. The drama had felt like a story of redemption for their marriage, with both of them putting their life on the line for the other, only for them to break apart after everything was concluded. It made no sense whatsoever. The potential was there, the story was good, but kdrama writers somehow almost always fail to bring about a satisfying ending. I guess we'll have to be content with that ending walk in the forest somehow. How the kidnapper and serial murderer was more openly affectionate with his equally criminal wife is beyond me
I really did miss Isoo, Junyoung and Kyungjin...Watching their scenes at the safe house made me realize that this season could have worked somehow had Junyoung become the interim team leader during Ganghyun's absence. Ganghyun and him had graduated from the police academy together after all, so he had the same level of experience on the job as she did. The trio of boys alone would have worked better; it would have been a more seamless transition in my opinion. I know kdramas rely heavily on the presence of a female lead and male lead, but in this particular case, it really wasn't necessary
It's nice to see Junyoung and Isoo's friendship, and the fact that they're on first-name basis now; it's the dynamic I envisioned for them in season 2 in my fics...It stings a bit because had Ganghyun been there, we know Isoo and her would have been on first-name basis too :') I hope they make mention of the Lee parents, and whether they left for LA too or not. I wonder if we'll see Isoo's house at all this season, or if they'll avoid that too to keep the Lee's out of the picture for good...We'll see
The assistant director's involvement in the first case was easy to figure out for once Also glad Yoo Seungho already made his first appearance, haven't seen him since I'm not a robot
I'm dropping season 2. What about you? Will you continue to watch. I also don't like reset.
I'm only watching because I really loved the original characters who are still there: Isoo, Kyungjin, Junyoung. But I definitely am not enjoying it without Ganghyun and her parents
It's been 1 episode. let's not act as if the world has somehow ended already.
Except they are trying to erase her. It's pretty obvious how they'll pretend like she was never a part of this fictional universe to begin with. There were opportunities for them to at least mention her name in passing, but it's evident that they'll avoid even alluding to her because they need to sell the new female lead to the fans. And I doubt there's any chance I'll prefer an attempted copycat over the original lead. To each their own. Just as you don't see me commenting under the posts of people who said they enjoyed this episode and trying to tell them they shouldn't like it, I don't think anyone needs to tell me I should like it when I didn't. Have a good day now
i don't think we need to worry about a new romance, i saw the FL actress cross her hands at the mention of a reporter…
I hope you're right about them scrapping the idea of romance. It's the only way I could at least tolerate the rest of the season :') And yeah, hope they don't blow that portion of his character out of proportion beyond this episode, because I really love the development they had showcased for him by the end of season 1
It's been 1 episode. let's not act as if the world has somehow ended already.
How can episode 2 rectify the erasure of the original female lead exactly? I stated my opinion this early on, because there's nothing the upcoming episodes could possibly bring to undo the damage that has been done. Swapping the main female lead for another when the original season was half built on her character and her dynamic with the male lead can't be rectified. If you ask how they were supposed to manage when the original actress couldn't sign up for season 2, there's no right answer for that. But the viewers who are attached to her character and the relationship and bond she formed with the male lead can express their discontent toward this unfortunate evolution. It's one thing if the canon material won't acknowledge her existence, are we also forbidden from mentioning her on fan platforms?
As expected, the show completely lost its charm because of Ganghyun's departure. The only scene that had the soul and essence of the original show was the one between Isoo and Seungju in prison. Season 1's episodes always felt too short, whereas with this, I found myself constantly checking when the episode would end...
They tried too hard to replicate Ganghyun's personality with the new female character, but it completely fell flat. She feels stiff and unidimensional, not to mention how they're portraying her as this perfect, flawless person who you just can't relate to. Season 1's pilot had already introduced Ganghyun's struggles, her wrong calls as a team leader, her being at odds with the higher-ups and most of her colleagues...We could instantly connect to her. She was grumpy, yes, but she had layers beyond her cantankerous persona. To those who'll say it's too early to judge, it's only the pilot, I'll say season 1's pilot had done a tremendous job giving us that insight into Ganghyun from the get-go
Also, I called that they would only insert that one-liner about her training in LA to then proceed by erasing her from the universe, but completely ignoring Ganghyun's existence without so much as a mention of her name is downright insulting tbh
And how has Isoo gone back to being as shallow as he was at the very beginning? Yes, he always showed off and liked getting attention, but part of him had become humbled by the end of season 1. It's like we pressed reset on his character development
It's disheartening how one of my top 5 favourite kdramas could turn into this cheap, shallow replica of its original self. The only thing that could possibly make this worse is a romance with the new female lead. It'll just be a slap to the face of the original viewers
Guys does this have any romantic subplot? If yes I might watch s1 just before s2 comes🥰
The writer had said there will be romance between the original leads from season 1 in season 2, but now that the female lead got replaced, I doubt it. I also hope not, since it'll be very rushed if it were to happen with the new female lead. I'm also personally really attached to the dynamic between the two original leads, so I'd rather they scrap the intended romance
Are you serious right now? Just when the pain of flex x cop season 2 being made without park ji jhyun started to ebb away, now I find out they're doing village barber season 2 by replacing kwak dong yeon with some other guy. They should just stop making second seasons if they're going to constantly replace the cast who made us love the original season in the first place.
"his only hobby on his days off is gazing at the clouds" this made me think of shikamaru :') <3 I really like this premise! And I love that we're getting a drama set in an airport again after so long! Those are rare gems, and airports are my places of comfort Plus, I think those two will make a really good pair Looking forward to it!
Loving this drama!! We haven't had a good rom com in what feels like ages :') The leads are adorable together, and I love the twist about her hearing his thoughts!
Just found out it's only 8 episodes...Sigh. Why are the good dramas so short, and the boring ones so long
FINALLY news about Park Ju Hyun in a new drama!! My favourite <3 it's been too long I wonder what happened to the drama ''Newsletter'' that she was supposed to star in according to her mydramalist profile...
I find it pretty infuriating that they're trying to replicate Isoo and Ganghyun's exact dynamic with this new female lead...If the original goal was to make us forget about Ganghyun, it's pretty hilarious that they've written an exact copycat of her character to replace her. Not that this new dynamic will have a sliver of what the original leads' chemistry had, but I just find it funny that all this will accomplish is making us remember Ganghyun in every single one of the new female lead's scenes.
