It honestly depends on your genre preferences, but I personally adore it! If you like mellow, slice of life, wholesome, uncomplicated plots that are just about dialing down and straying away from the robotic city life, I think you'd like it. It's very straightforward and direct, without the fanfare of a million side-plots or an enormous cast, the focus solely being on the two main characters who are sort of finding solace in each other and in diving as a shared passion/hobby. It won't be winning any awards because it's not your mainstream type of drama, but I love it, t's uplifting. The episodes are really short (30min), so give the first two a try to see if it's your cup of tea :)

The only drama I've loved of bws is record of youth. Now that had authenticity and emotion. The lead trio (bo gum, so dam and him) really delivered. It's a shame he doesn't get good lead roles

I love how low-budget it seems, because the simplicity of it allows them to tap into authenticity, unlike most dramas nowadays, which have so much going on, so many flashy attires, special effects, etc. that it all just feels like noise
This drama on the other hand is so simple and genuine, it truly feels real. I can genuinely believe that those two characters exist on that island and their journey's quite wholesome. I'm also really glad Sang Jun finally got his lead role, and the female lead is really adorable

This is one of the dramas I'm looking forward to the most! The premise is really unique because all the bullying kdramas I've seen were understandably from the perspective of the students, the victims of said bullying, where the adults are mostly nonexistent or play an incredibly passive, background role. It's similar to how the police are portrayed in detective fiction that centers around an amateur detective. But this one's different; the main characters ARE the adults, so we'll be privy to this shift in point of view, to get the missing perspective that's always omitted from such stories. It'll show what will happen if the adults in the room aren't just background characters/extras letting the bullying unfold without consequence. What if the adults actually do try to stop it? How will that change the course of these students' future? What if the revenge story isn't orchestrated by the victim this time, but by the adult who puts a stop to it before it escalates? What if the bullies do get punished by the rightful authority figures, and relearn to fear instead of dismiss them? I think it's a much-needed drama in this era of submissive teachers and egotistical students. I can't wait!

I agree that people have been brainwashed into believing it's a worthless position, but just because many do doesn't mean I will subscribe to their twisted notions. I will continue to respect these women immensely as they're literally the backbone of families and societies. And I will respect any woman who chooses that role because there still are many out there who value their family more than a career, and choose to devote themselves entirely to their children and husband.

I won't allow people to belittle such amazing women, nor turn this man's words into a travesty when he was simply responding with honesty and transparency. If anything, he respects these underrated women a lot more than his accusers, who clearly regard stay-at-home mothers with unwarranted disdain

Like I said, he has a right to seek to marry the woman he wants, just like everybody else. None of what he said is insulting to women. I completely respect his view, and I deeply respect stay-at-home mothers. They will forever remain unappreciated by Western societies, but their work and devotion is the foundation upon which generations are built. A man who actually acknowledges and respects their role is actually a rare gem. It's ironic, really. People think he's disrespecting women when in fact he demonstrated respect toward the portion of women who are most severely and unjustly looked down upon: housewives and stay-at-home mothers.

The cruelest irony is that the women screaming sexism at this are in fact the ones disrespecting their own kind; if they themselves didn't think lowly of stay-at-home mothers, they wouldn't have seen anything wrong with what Seo Joon said.

Except he never said that about women. I read his interview, so stop putting words in his mouth. He has every right to seek to marry a woman who would be a stay-at-home mother as long as she is on the same page and her priorities align with his. Just as a woman has a right to say that she seeks to marry a man with a stable job, since providing is among a husband's duties in a marriage.

He's right in saying that children very much need their mother's presence at a young age. Whether we want to admit it or not, stay-at-home mothers provide much more of their presence and warmth to their children since they're always around. He never insulted working women; he simply stated that he is looking for one who chooses to work in their household. Again, as long as both he and his wife share these priorities, you have no right to criticize his choice. If you're unable to distinguish his meaning and have misinterpreted his words so wrongfully, it must stem from western-bred insecurity. By acting so offended by the mere mention of a housewife, you're allowing people to continue to demean housewives, who very much deserve everybody's utmost respect for all of their work by the way. They are not lesser than women who join the workforce.

I'm a woman myself and I have a career requiring me to work outside of the house, yet I didn't feel at all offended by his words. I respect both women who work outside and inside the house. I hope that the rest of the world does one day too. We all bear tremendous responsibilities, and we are all worthy in our respective rights.

Respectfully, I think you should read his interview again to gain a better sense of what he meant.

Peace be upon you. I find it quite shocking that you sincerely believe that over two billion Muslims such as myself would actually believe that. I think it's safe to say that you get your information about Islam from fox news and such media that seek to brainwash the masses. And if you don't end up watching it, I only ask that you don't go around social media speaking on behalf of Muslims regarding what you falsely think we believe in Islam.

I didn't miss it, but I chose not to watch it since I didn't feel chemistry with the male lead from the teasers, especially after coming from the high of her pairing with Park Hyung Sik who in my opinion was her best male lead to date. I'm sure Shin Hye killed it though! I saw some snippets of her character from the drama :)

It also kind of irked me how many people pretended that she finally proved herself as an actress in TJFH when she's always been absolutely fantastic and has played some of the most relatable and beloved characters to me (Yoo Hye Jung, Choi In Ha, and Nam Ha Neul especially)

Okay, I love Jong Hyeop, but I have this issue where ever since I saw the magic of him and Park Ju Hyun in Love All Play together, I haven't been able to enjoy watching him in another romantic drama with someone else. Ju Hyun and him, and the entire drama really, were so phenomenal that every other dynamic of his ends up paling in comparison. Serendipity's Embrace was a huge disappointment, and I saw clips of his character with park eun bin in castaway diva, but the dynamic was off-putting. I'm willing to give this a chance though. The teaser's nice. It definitely won't measure up to love all play's main duo, but I might still be able to enjoy it :)

honestly was debating on whether to watch since I don't like him, but I'll still watch since shin hye's my favourite actress and I miss her
there are also other actors in the cast that I look forward to seeing again
I just hope that the romance will be to a minimum in this one

the only good news about season 2 so far
and I'm kind of glad it won't be 16 episodes this time around. I love 16-episode dramas but it'll already be hard enough enduring ganghyun's absence for 14 of them, so this works out for the best
