I dropped at ep 5. Wondering around comment section with a ray of hope if anything good happened in the recent episode but everything in vain. Guess there is no hope for this drama.
Here's my LMH theory. A lot of us first saw him in Boys Over Flowers and were captivated by the lanky rage-aholic…
In Hollywood ( even Europe) pure talent don't need a godly look. You can see there are many award winning movies or series that don't have a lead with above average look. But they capture the audience with their talent. No matter how good looking you are if you don't have talent you will fade away with time. By this I'm not offending LMH but the K-drama industry. Because there are so many good actor who don't get enough chance to shine themselves because some A class actor who only appear in the stage (drama or movie) to sell their look instead of talent.
Everybody is talking about story and chemistry. But nobody is talking about the acting of LMH. It really sucks. Every time on his screen time is like someone send him to the stage without giving him any proper instructions. It's like he is selling his look not talent. Just a fact. There are many drama which don't gain any popularity but theirs story and actors acting is very memorable.
Firstly I didn't expected any ground breaking acting from LMH because I know he kinda sucks at acting but the story is very lame. It's look like someone forced the writer to write this story and the writer doesn't know what to write, it looks like he/she's heart not in there.
No offence but I think LMHs acting is not good. I've seen all of his works. He didn't gave any high end acting on those dramas including "King" or he just sucks at acting. Just my opinion...
All the dramas you mentioned are exceptional so far
My main problem with k-drama industry is that the big names won't feature in good and meaningful drama. They always go with RomCom. That's why some extraordinary dramas didn't get the light they needed.
So after watching some episode of highly rated " Crash Landing on You " and others drama I thought it's time to give up on k-dramas. Then I started to watch "Romantic Doctor" and "The game towards zero" and thought I'm not going to give up watching K-dramas. Now after watching "Iteawon Class" I'm definitely not going to give up watching K-dramas.
