There wasn't any competition in non-english section, so it's obvious. Still a flop though...
"From February 3–9, Bogota: City of the Lost recorded 13 million views. This view count placed the film in second position overall when comparing the metrics of both English and non-English films. "

13 million views sounds pretty impressive. And SECOND POSITION in BOTH English and non-English films. Did you read the article?

What’s the story about?
MDL Synopsis: In the 1990s, 19-year-old Guk Hee moves to Bogotá with his family, wishing for a better life only to end up living from hand to mouth. Beginning at the bottom of the ladder, he goes through hell and high water and now dominates the black market of Bogotá.

Right right the competition is sooo "fierce" in the non-english film category. Such an accomplishment.

The copyright is getting ridiculous
You probably have not done or accomplished anything worthwhile that you care about. Otherwise, you may think twice about what you just said. Engineers care about patents; artists, writers and musicians care about copyrights; brands are trademarked for a reason.

If you have spent years of your life creating something, and someone else benefits from it, it doesn't feel good. Typically, this happens to the individual who has little recourse. That's why we have copyright laws, so that the individual gets to open the conversation and request for compensation, or credit, or whatever they feel is fair. Other times, this happens at the corporate level and they battle it out in court.

You misunderstood something. The author that accused the production team is not novel author. It was author from…
It's always going to be a big deal when someone's hard work is being used without permission, credit and/or compensation. The production team needs to be held accountable. In this case, they did and very quickly. It ended to the satisfaction of both sides (production team and author). The only ones still upset are those who failed to understand the article and think their favorite actors are being attacked.

petty , childish and unnecessary comment
https://www.soompi.com/article/1335397wpp/channel-a-reports-details-of-song-joong-ki-and-song-hye-kyos-divorce

"The report stated that Song Joong Ki submitted the divorce settlement to the Seoul Family Court on June 26 and informed Song Hye Kyo of the matter through a public press release delivered by his legal representative on June 27.

Song Joong Ki reportedly chose to file for divorce (AFTER THE TWO MUTUALLY AGREED TO GETTING A DIVORCE) in order to conclude the divorce process in a smooth and swift manner."

They already agreed to divorce, so he FILED. So, now, 6 years later, you're faulting him for not telling her the filing date. Oh, grow up. Are you so butt-hurt cos your ex-wife did the same thing?

While I agree with you on his personal being private, I can't help but think of the backlash Song Hye Kyo got…
Neither of them deserve to be treated that poorly because they disappointed their fans. It's too bizarre. As fans, we don't own them.

What happened? I don't get the hate.
"Fans" are way too invested in actors' personal lives over there. Not to say that article is 100% believable, but if we were to believe it: they mutually decided, and he filed because he wanted it expediently processed. I don't see an issue.

As to the "spreading lies" bit, the Songs are both public figures so it's understandable neither wants that. However, that's still person's interpretation and should be completely ignored.
