I'm not in favour of drinking at all. I've seen up close how bad it can get
However, the comments themselves are pretty bad on this one for the first 2 episodes.... Usually the Viki comments are so much fun to read (sometimes as much fun if not better than the actual show)... But these were not nice comments ...comment on the problem yes, not on the actor...also episode 1 was too early to start bashing the character....ask questions yes, pass judgement & close the case, no. I found the comments to be disturbing so i did close them off for sometime to watch the show.. I'm hoping with more of the story now being shown, the comments can turn to the story and like you said the issue of alcoholism in the world (& not just k society).
I also LOVE your point on using a female character to showcase this issue... It does call for more discussions than people just accepting it if it was a man! Excellent point 👍
The story so far is believable and relatable. If you've gone through heartbreak, abandonment, cheated on, set backs (in the present and the past as the story is already indicating + Taught a certain way of being/eating/drinking since you were a child + that's what you saw..how is the FL character not on point?
I've watched the 2 episodes so far and i liked it. The FL is a good actress here. You can feel her heartbreak and overwhelm and trying to drown her sorrows (she doesn't see a way forward yet). And also her attempt to keep some dignity in this matter.
Its not a young 20 year old love story but one that's got more scars...they are an older lot of people here. Simply, life has happened and they are coping somehow . I'm hoping she's happy sooner in this show than later.
Im not saying what the father did by drinking and signing away his business or wasting another business are okay.... But the cruel comments about the FL are unnecessary.
They are older and boring people and not my usual type i mean ml is ok i could watch but nothing is pulling me…
Haha...well said! I think part of the issue may also be that its a 2020 show which we're watching in 2025 . I enjoy legal dramas so that's another point of interest for me...

If anything, they are showing through the example of the father and the sister and even the ex-fiancee the repercussions of drinking irresponsibly.

I thought her parents were also part of her manager team
