1. Most c dramas are 40 episodes
2. They are usually an even number of episodes.

How is this only 23 episodes?

I think the translation read as her hubby telling her about master yan as he was sending her off... I assumed they worked for the yan family... which is why also the ML recognised her in ep2

I'm not talking about the character but the actor... but your point may be the reason too... I don't like washed out characters either, whether their character sketch or makeup 🤷

Also maybe coz im coming from watching Wu Jinyan (2 shows this year) ... she's raised the bar for me when it comes to actors ❤️

I'm really trying to like the FL (CDL)... but 4 episodes in, and I don't know why she's off putting! Im seeing this actress for the first time...but it's something about her, i can't quite put my finger on it.
Its not the writing..
All other actors are excellent casting imo. This is a 9.5 or 10/10 for me so far, if it wasn't for the FL. :(
