The depiction of the female lead in the plot is so much annoying and illogical. She is supposed to be wise, kind and capable but how illogical are her decisions and reactions with regard to the male lead.

Yes, I agree. Overall the plot is not convincing the viewer. The same problem is also there with Meng Zhen Zhen's character. A devoted, intelligent and capable person involves herself with the most despicable actions.

The problem is with the script. Her actions does not match a consistent moral principle. I have difficulty to relate to her character. If she is a good person and trying hard to achieve something good for her brother and her dear ones then she has to behave differently. The actress is a good actress but the script does n't make sense.

I have the same impression as yours. I can not understand Taohua's reactions and decisions. Meng Zi Yi is a great actress but the script and the direction makes the character she is playing here unrelatable for me. When I saw Meng Zi Yi in "Royal Rumors" I could relate to the character she was playing there even though it was a much lighter and even comic setting. For a serious role like the one in this drama they need a better script and direction.

I completely agree with you. This is a very well done drama with serious storyline and acting. The female lead does a masterful depiction of a very complex character. The storyline, acting and progression of the plot are all excellent.

I completely agree with you. The script writers are inconsistent with the way the female lead's behaviors are portrayed. She is an intelligent and brave person with a lot of insight then how is it that in the midst of ambush she behaves so immaturely. She puts everyone around her in danger both with her attitude and also her actions. The actress is a great actress but the script is flawed.
