This is not about logic, but about destiny, which is the "modus operandi" in Korean dramas. In most dramas, it can be: first love, meeting in extreme conditions, being in the same school, saving a life, etc. There is always some higher power that pushes, attracts individuals to each other.

The letters were the reason for the meeting. But it was Do San who decided to met again when he told her that he has no girlfriend. This was the only reason why Dal Mi quit her job and decided to make her dreams come true. If Do San listened to HJP than they would not meet again and nothing would change in Dal Mi's life ...;)

And of course the HJP matter, which was not omitted here at all. His meaning is not his love for Dal Mi, but the rediscovery of love to grandma, which once released in him feelings unknown to a boy hurt by a cruel life. Once and now, he had to meet grandma again so that the feelings that he hides at the bottom come to life again. I think that by meeting her again, he will gain a family, and thus a place where he can feel safe. HJP likes so much Dal Mi, because she is warm and kind like her grandmother. And this will allows him to find and recognize his true love in the future, because Dal Mi will become a family member and not a loved one over time.

I am very sorry, but Dal Mi cannot be with HJP, this would contradict the logic of Korean dramas which are mostly based on destiny which plays a very important role. There are so many scenes with Dal Mi and Do San that are very significant. Nothing is accidental, every piece of information matters. Symbolic scenes also link Dal Mi with Nam Do San. And here's the proof: At the end of the first episode, when Dal Mi leaves a letter in the birdhouse, he says the wish: "if Do San exists, I want to find him". A very telling fact is the petal of a cherry tree which follows her wish; he is also present in the scene of the grandmother's reconciliation with HJP, but in the end, avoiding all obstacles and people falling on the head of Do San. Their almost first meeting was the result of buying a ball with the words "follow your dream". And from that moment they will be following their dreams. Dal Mi's expectations towards kiss: "in the beginning you start out smoothly. And you go ... Then it gets more and more intense, and you finally become one, it's fantastic" - description of Dal Mi and Do San kiss. The scene in the subway when Do San is embroidering uses red thread. A very telling symbol of the "red thread of destiny that binds people in love", if I'm not mistaken Dal Mi also goes on the same train as Do San. Their first meeting at networking party and the inscription "At the time the wind began to blow ..." in the background; meaning beginning of love.

I still think that Dal Mi and Nam Do San did not meet by chance; their meeting is destiny. For me it is a repeat of the situation from "Dream High" ;)

Then the whole story from start to finish wouldn't make sense. Why introduce a character that would be unnecessary?

If she really end up with HJP it will be odd O_o

To love someone, you have to be worthy of that person ?! So, before you do that you need to have a good job, ideally you should be successful and become rich? It's as shallow as the times we live in :(

That's a little bit creepy, but sometimes I do the same when I'm watching one scene from Empress Ki, because it's one of my favorites ;)

I know the relationship shouldn't be based on lies. But everything that was a lie was cleared between them. I don't think Dal Mi will ever compares Do San to "Do San" from the letters, because she knows already that such a person never existed. The "Do San" from the letters was her ideal type, who was compared to other men she had met, so it hurt her the most. Imagination does not always agree with reality. And what she said in the last episode to Do San was only supposed to hurt him and let him go in peace.

Come one, there is two people behind these letters. Dal Mi knows now too. Even her father knows there were fake, but he was grateful grandma for them. The real person behind them is grandma. She wanted to write them herself, but she knew that Dal Mi would recognize her handwriting. Therefore, she asked HJP to write them so as not to arouse suspicion.

I'm not sure you even know what a toxic relationship means in psychology? : D Because here we have the opposite situation to the toxic one ;)

She just likes men like her father was; loving their family, kind and above all a dreamer ;)

If it's not Do San, then even less possibility it's HJP. I doubt Dal Mi would be in a relationship with HJP, as she still thinks about Do San. So, it could be someone else. Or maybe it's just a gift. I could say, they trying to mislead a viewers.

I think Do San is holding the small box, because he is making the same finger gesture as well when he is touching the memorable ball with the words "Follow your dream" ;)
