I once saw a comment asking the author to write an alternate story, which is fair. We all wish for different outcomes in stories we love. But one part of that comment really stayed with me.

They said something like, "What if QianQian didn’t see him as a lost cause and actually changed him for the better?”

And my first thought was… he is a lost cause

Qin Min had a terrible past, yes. But so do thousands of people. Pain and trauma are not unique experiences, and yet most people do not turn into psychopaths who destroy everyone around them, let alone harm their own child.

Suffering can explain someone’s actions, but it cannot excuse them.

So why does the story need to frame redemption through QianQian? Why does she have to be the one who sees the “good” in him and pulls him back from darkness?

Sometimes a character simply is what they are. Not every villain needs to be redeemed, and not every broken man needs a woman to fix him.

If QianQian doesn’t see him as a lost cause, that’s her compassion speaking. But compassion does not erase reality. Some people cross lines they cannot come back from.

And maybe the more honest story is accepting that.

But leaving all that aside for a second — can we talk about the main leads?! Chanyu and Xie Zheng have me completely obsessed!!! Their chemistry is insane, every scene together just makes my heart explode. And Xie Zheng’s acting?? Absolutely chef’s kiss, perfection, no notes!! I’m literally here watching like 😭❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ They have me smiling, screaming, kicking my feet — I LOVE THEM SO MUCH!!! ❤️✨❤️✨❤️✨

Title Fated Hearts Spoiler
Ugh, this whole mess in Fated Hearts just makes my blood boil 😤. Honestly, if the Empress and Marquis Murong had not plotted with the Prime Minister’s family to kill the Emperor and Feng Sui Ge, they could have easily lived out their lives peacefully. FSG had already stepped away from his claim to the throne — all he wanted was to move on with Fu Yi Xiao after avenging his mother. He wasn’t planning to harm Murong Yao or the Second Prince at all. But no, they just had to get greedy, paranoid, and self-destructive.

And Murong Yao? Don’t even get me started. He’s a grown man who once called Feng Sui Ge his “best friend,” yet didn’t hesitate to betray and plot against him. That’s beyond low. Then there’s the Prime Minister’s son — the real genius who thought raising a private army (which is literally treason) was a great idea. Like, what did he think was going to happen? You commit a crime that severe, you face the consequences. It’s that simple.

And let’s not forget — it was the Prime Minister’s family who falsely accused and got MLS’s mother killed years ago. They literally destroyed an innocent woman’s life for their own political gain, and now they’re shamelessly begging for mercy because their own crimes finally caught up with them? The nerve is unbelievable.

Also, the whole “we once fought together, so spare my son” argument makes me want to scream. Friendship doesn’t erase treason. If a commoner had done the same, they’d have been punished to the ninth degree without question. Why should nobles be any different? It’s pure hypocrisy.

Honestly, I can’t wait for Feng Sui Ge to deliver his revenge and watch this entire corrupt bunch get exactly what they deserve. They sowed deceit, betrayal, and blood — and now they’ll finally have to reap it. Poetic justice has never felt so satisfying. 💀🔥
