Hi, thank you for the effort, it is a long comment so I will try to comment later, but I can tell you I have watched "Queer as Folk" and liked it at list the first season, anyways I have watched a lot of western gays movies. Bl and asia are very very different, I were addicted to Kdrama that in first and the old dramas where so refrshing and amazing for me, it was like that a coupleof years and they fall into the trap, like I said it's a politic issue and it is devistating.
The bl I have watched started from the bl Anima and than I found out about "Addicted" when it's aired it was mind blowing, felt so good, now I could not watch it again, it didn't pass the time test, and it have a lot of issues of violence I didn't understand back than.
At first it is very refreshing so You love everything, but after time you understand more about it and the formula, and the motives behind it, so You notice a lot of things.

It could be that innocence is also to get out of the box, yes maybe it's a part of it, But it's also the drive and the force behind the product, of for example one makes a cake with love and joy but not follow the reciep exactly it could be still a good cake, but if he's (or a machine of a company) only want to sell the cake (profit/money) and he is doing it exactly as the reciepe it usually be an avarge or a bad cake, So it's a combination of intenssions and get out of the box. maybe it can solve your second pharagraph.

GMMTV try to make some formula so they could sell a lot of products and advertising, we can also see there cutting the budget of the actors but less the producers, it's looking good on the screen but the actors doesn't have a lot of skills, they use them and the moving to the next white actor

It was bad editing, the acting wasn't bad to my point of view, Gus is talented, his singing and acting are good, the song is very nice, (no the love love thing the other one) the couple look almost real, the thing is the editing was really bad, and the way things goes without any presistante.
About the gay that fell inlove with the girl, I felt uncomterbul with that , don't know why, because maybe it could happened in real life, black and white is not the only colors, and sometimes maybe a person doesn't know his identity if he is young. anyway the way it was done was bad, it didn't make any sense and I didn't understand the porpuse of it .there wasn't any depth to his desicion
The kissed was fucked up like all this drama, such a dissapointment, the producer is a bitter person that hate people and think everyone are snakes and cheaters ( maybe it's reflect his personality and those who advertising this trash
I was gonna really drop this episode ago, the last episode I have watched exactly 2 sec with force, just to watch bunny and it was enough, The drama itself wasn't too bad but bad acting and the annoying background music ruined it.
Those scenes don't really remind me of just Kdramas, feel like most Asian dramas have done something similar.…
Not really, it i depends on the time, and the editing, again, if you watch a lot of comedy romance Kfilms from the earls 00's you will see it was used a lot, the overall , if you taking out the romance it's not the same, offcourse you will find it also in the western films, but when we watch the all package it's the same. it's not only 1-2 things it is more. Human tend to copy each other and get inspration, but because Kdramas have a lot of success they are influencing more.

Japanese drama passing the time test because they are Loyal to their values and usually you don't feel that money is invloved even if it is, There is a lots of effort, they tend to invest themselfs 100%, they are strick with choosing the cast, very picky,music- usually they take a young band that again trying hard, it's a good good high quality band, so it's not only the music it's the gathering as a artistic group, if you listen to the music it's the same as it was in the 90's, they are not changing so much.(values loyal=inocence) There is a taste of realism even if it's a fantasy,They are using a lot of darkness even if it is a comedy, Overall they are not changing their values according to money, fame, Unlike Koreans that are really trying too hard to get this fame and money grabing, This is because of the culture and politics involves, Japanese are very close country and Korea open their gate to slavery long a go, it was the beginning of end of their culture in a way, ( ask them ,they know it _)But again this is another subject of politics that involve in all the media we are watching.

Agree the style is one of the Thai best I've seen, But I also think that the main actors(, Especially New )are gourgase and charismatic , he have a lot lots of hotness, as if he is not even Thai , more as a mix, very unique look and style and attitude, everything about him is great, I really like this actor
