I was first scared at the 120 eps drama, then thought in the beginning it was going to be the old school corny Kdramas, but strangely enough, at ep28, its become strangely addicting and I too am on Team Joo Win. I see some good character development with him.
I'm a huge Michael Mui fan, and he did not disappoint. However, this is the first time I've really noticed Benjamin Yuen..............omg, what a performance........I am so in love with him. If I was the girl, I would have chose him in a heart beat. He did everything for her, not that she appreciate it. They also had much better chemistry, loved the bantering between the two of them.
On the flip side, this is the worst performance I've ever seen Moses do. I hated the character so much. I use to be a big Moses fan too.
Omg.....90% of this list is on my all time favorites too. Thank you so much for the shout out to IT OK, THAT'S LOVE and OH, MY VENUS.........I cried just as hard and my heart got hammered the same way.....but the best part are the great endings that will make it all with it.
Great reviews and recommendations, I will look forward to more.
So tortured and HOT......my favorite kind of dark hero......your review echoed a lot of my own feelings of love and excitement for this drama. I am rewatching it a 2nd time....I simply could not let it go. Some of the tragic scenes absolutely left me bawling, I have not cried so much since Descendents of the Sun. I'm just hoping that due to the petition going around there will be a final episode made with a wrap up ending.
Wallace is not going to get the girl....................
Thanks, was going to hide it, but wanted to give a break to those who didn't want to waste their time on a misleading opening & synopsis. Plus main actress told the whole world during an interview.
What a great review!!! You said everything I could not. Not only the cute cartoons that came on once in a while, didn't you just love the "bleeping" whenever she got so worked up?? The fighting between them was so cute.
wow, we seem to have similar taste not to mention similar "names" lol.
I also totally agree with you that I too did not like some of the things in the beginning, But watching it a 2nd time, things made more sense because i saw details that I missed during the first time. What was your favorite scene? Mine was the lunch scene when she asked him if she can file a workman's comp claim if she ate herself to death "on the job". I thought that line was hilarious............and the acting was so natural. It must have been a 1 take scene.
I absolutely loved OFFICE GIRLS, can't wait to see them together again. Roy's recent drama's are so hard to find. Last one was MISS ROSE and that was in 2012.
Btw,............the paragraph about how Rain got rejected early in his career due to his looks. To me, when he smiles, he lights up the room and melts the heart. Especially when he is doing it while in a serious role. People must have been blind back then.
DKB....you are right, I loved Song II Guk so much, I watched Kimchi Family right after which is a year after Man Called God and he did fill out some. However, no less handsome and endearing because of his great acting. I am just so in love with this guy. To top it off, he's a great dad to triplets too! Just started watching CRIME SQUAD, such a funny opening with the "Toilet" scene. Will check out the historicals you have mentioned later, Thanks!
