I have the same thought, why the rating is low? I love this drama because I can laugh, cry, hate and in love and there’s moral lesson in the story. Hoping for season 2.
So I finished it and so love it, though hoping the main leads have more spotlight about their happy ending. Hope there’s season 2 and the story will focus about them, their career and having kids. ❤️
The rating should be 9 up . The story line was makes sense, since he has the purpose. Their parents died when they were small and he saw his father twin’s brother ruthlessness towards his father. He doesn’t want to be associated with his father’s family for betrayal and favouritism. The reason he wants to get the knife from his Jiang’s family is to stop their greediness and to get justice for the fate of their family. Also, with Linai’s master, he took revenge to seize the knife because he misunderstood him for not adopting her sister because he can’t take of her and doesn’t want her sister to go with Jiang’s family , but in fact her sister doesn’t want to be adopted because she wants to be with him, but since he can’t take care of her, she end up with their grandfather welfare. I also love the song, because as per the lyrics, it’s about dignity, love, honor and triumph.
As per Linai’s she has also the reason to be with the side of his master. She owed him so much for if not with his master, she doesn’t know where to go when her father became ill. The good heart of his master led her to make sure he will get justice by seizing the knife back to him. Also, I love how Linai’s love his father and making sure she takes care of him and work so hard to provide for their needs.
I love the chemistry of the FL and ML. Overall I’m loving everything about it. It’s a highly recommended drama of 2024. There are moral lessons to learn about family, love, kindness, how greediness and jealousy will lead into tragedy and many more.

I love how naturally showed their affection and love for each other. I have so much fun and at the same time giggling with the romantic scene at episode 20. Highly recommended this drama.
The FL relationship with his teacher I think it’s not only six months duration. He knows him even before he became his teacher based on the story that she borrowed money for his ill father. Imagined the teacher lent her 100,000 Yuan. So it makes sense only to defend him as the FL sees how the teacher loves to serve people through his cooking skills with kindness and affection.
When I’m watching for a drama, I make sure to carefully understand the story. Yes, romantic scene is great but the characters should evolves where they are coming from. The FL and ML have a great acting skills and I love their chemistry. The story is getting exciting and I’m looking forward to watch it. Zhang Miaoyi has a great future in the industry indeed. I love her.
I love this drama…the story line, acting and chemistry are so good and on point. I look forward for every episode. It’s worth watching for. I love the funny side of FL and the soft side of ML towards the FL.
