Coming here from TTEOTM, how is this drama so far? And is the plot similar to TTEOTM or now?
For me I am getting Douluo Continent and The Blue Whisper vibe.
It also has interspace and (ML & FL working together) goal like Tang San.
But back from the brink has much comedy

I think maybe it's their story but they made it interesting with some changes and fantasy. And even if the plothole you say is there, the novel that Nan Xing wrote might have been reading a shortcut/summary.
