The hype for POJ is still there, but Tencent itself doesn’t seem to want LBTG to do well. Tencent, Youku and iQIYI are releasing dramas starring traffic stars at the same time, so it’s facing a lot of competition. And as I suspected, instead of keeping the interesting parts at the beginning of the script, they’re placing most of them toward the end, so the heat index isn’t increasing that much.

How will international audiences view the film?

Dilraba’s haters have increased a lot. They don’t want her drama to do well in any way. It’s like they’re trying hard to spread negativity about her. In LBTG, there isn’t really much to criticize–her character is just naturally like that. Maybe they could have avoided making a drama based on this novel, but according to her figure and overall fit, she suits this character the best. That’s probably why Reba is taking her time to carefully choose scripts. However, I think she should take on some serious roles for a while, and also not consider war/military or general-themed dramas. Can’t her agency bring in a really good script?

Ju Jingyi may be forgiving toward her agency because they once invested in her. However, they keep spreading false information, and action should be taken against them. Her agency repeatedly seems to be scheming to prevent her dramas from being released. "The Eternal Fragrance" wasn’t released last year, and now they’re starting issues again around the release timing of Veil of Shadows this year.

I requested Netflix to air this drama in my country.

This is entirely my personal opinion-please don’t take it the wrong way. I think it would have been better if this drama were released next year. The reason is that Ju Jingyi already has two dramas coming out this year. For fans, suddenly switching from one platform to another (like Tencent or iQIYI) can be quite costly. From that perspective, it might have been better to release this toward the end of the year—around December—or in January next year, at least for achieving a better heat index.

I may not be able to watch it on time due to small stye in my eye, but if it was released in March, I could have watched it all properly.🥲
