New to Xianxia and Chinese Mythology so pls forgive me if the following questions sound really dumb .. LOL. But hoping to enjoy this drama and the genre more :)
1) really confused as to what the heavenly realm and immortal realm actually are. For example, Shen Li is sometimes described on English translated websites as the God of War (shouldn't she be in the heavenly realm then?), other times she is said as to be a demon .. so are demons part of the immortal realm? Ie. do immortals, demons and spirits all live in the same realm? What is Shen Li? A God? Demon? Immortal demon? None of the above? So confused .... 2) What is the difference between an Ancient God and a God? 3) Why do these Gods commonly have to go around "sealing" stuff? Like why do they become unsealed? I don't really get it ... LOL. 4) What does "Bi Cang" actually mean? Is it a military rank like General? 5) Shen Li is sometimes referred to as the "Sky King" (well in the English subtitles anyway ...), but she is acknowledged by other characters as female ... so once again, is "Sky King" just a military rank rather than gender specific? 6) Who is that lady frequently addressed as "your holiness" whom Shen Li reports to in the immortal realm? Is she a Queen? Head Commander of the immortal army? Or will I find this out in later episodes?
The last Xianxia I watched was Love between Fairy and Devil, but the world-building in that story was more straightforward and easy to understand. This one ... I am finding a bit more complex to understand. Thanks!!!

Their names Bai Feng Xi and Hei Feng Xi sound the same, but are written in different Chinese characters.
Bai Feng Xi - "Bai" means "white"; "Feng" means "wind". So her martial arts name literally means "white wind". Feng Xi Yun - "Feng" means "Wind" (same Chinese character as above); "Xi" means "Cherish"; "Yun" means "Cloud". So her real name means "Wind, Cherish, Cloud". Both names represent her desire to live a free nomad life.
Hei Feng Xi - "Hei" means "black"; "Xi" means "breath". So his martial arts name literally means "black breath". Feng Lan Xi - "Lan" means "orchid". Orchids in Chinese culture represent someone of good morals. So the name represents him as a person of good character.
Their combined martial arts name - "Bai-Feng-Hei-Xi", if you translate it literally means "white wind black breath". The more eloquent English translation that would probably make more sense is "Breath of Wind". In fact, one of the OST is called Breath of Wind I think ....
I am hoping Tencent puts up full episodes with Eng Subs on Youtube (even if there is a delay) ... just like they have with ADOS and Heroes etc. Youtube is so much more accessible worldwide.

Oh My General - strong and intelligent FL who is the General 🙂. Good story (romantic comedy, political intrigue, war/military), great acting, sizzling on-screen chemistry btwn FL and ML. Very enjoyable to watch!
