Yeah I'm clumping them together a bit, still I have watched a lot of them over 2 decades or so, at least everything that has been popular. Usually I could enjoy a show because of the leads etc. but never seen a traditional or fantasy c-drama of this quality.

Title Pursuit of Jade
Never liked the Chinese traditional dramas, always felt so over the top with out of place fantasy without any budget. Then this drama comes, this drama is in it's own league. Fighting scenes are great, no unnecessary weird fantasy elements, perfect female and male lead. Not sure how they could go from what was before to this. Don't want it to end.
