I totally agree you. FL was soo annoying to watch with her 2 braincells. The rating seems rigged to me.
Yes! I only watched because of the rating and since I had just watched Twinkling Watermelon and thought, "Oh, two of the same story in a row. Cool.". Then I went to leave my review and the top 10 reviews were like 4.0, 2.0, 6.0. lol How it happened is beyond me. Someone in the Viki comments said it's biggest fan base must be literal children.
I just finished watching this Kdrama a few days ago and it's SO good, I am glad that I have watched it but I can't…
I just finished it and I am SO MAD about his ending. I was like, "Istg they had better tell me it's a fever dream he had or something." Then it was just over and I was full of rage.
oh my god i have no idea how people were actually rooting for Soo Ah it blows my mind
Right!? My sister doesn't watch dramas AT ALL but she happened to be by visiting my son and I had it on and she was like, "Eww I don't like that girl (Yi Seo), she's obnoxious." and "Why is she so nasty to that other girl (Soo Ah)?" I was like, "Oh NO. You don't even know how awful that "nice" girl is." lol
I thought this drama was SO interesting and it really kept me engaged, but I have to say, I don't think the FL really learned any lesson. I know there's a time where we're supposed to "see" that she has learned to stop being such a stuck-up, selfish *@$&! but when that time came there were still so many things that made me go, "Oh, so you didn't actually learn a lesson, and you still do not deserve that man you have beside you. Got it." lol
Seeing all these 5 star reviews is breaking my heart. For me, this version is SO MUCH better than the Thai and Japanese ones and yes, I'm not even sorry for saying it, but way better than the Korean one.
You're so right about the casting for ML and FL because they're just absolutely PERFECT for their roles. To be honest, I feel like the whole cast was nailed. Dylan, Anna, grandma, even the aunt and cousin... just perfection all around.
I cannot believe people are hating on this one but raving about the Korean one. The Korean one is fine, it's just not amazing and it did not make me feel this rollercoaster of emotions like this version did. Also, in the Korean one he looks way too old for her and it weirded me out.
I also can't really explain this, but he gave me Willy Wonka vibes which was weird and out of place (obviously). lol
Okay, so I don't even really care about the dumb girl/mean guy part, because it's whatever, but good god was she annoying. Super immature with no growth, but more importantly... she was super creepy. Like stalker-level creepy. lol There were times where I found myself liking the "bully" girl more than the FL. lol
Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. I'm so glad I found this website because I thought I was alone on so many of my "bad takes". I adore the FL actress and I didn't know the ML actor so I had high hopes. There was just NO reason to root for them and even less reason for them to fall for each other.
I , myself, just left a review somewhere around the 5 or 6 star mark and I enjoyed your review. I DEFINITELY have dramas that are like this for me. Where other people think it's stupid, or hate the lead, or think the story sucks, but for whatever reason it just has a special place for me.
So I totally get it. And I appreciate you commenting that you understand that person's issues with the drama despite loving it yourself. Great review!
Yes Yes Yes. She was fine but not amazing, and definitely uptight. Which I get was the point initially, but I don't feel like she got that much better. Definitely not to a level that would make them compatible. I also agree that it's not bad by any means, but I don't get the amount of people saying it's amazing, their favorite drama ever, 10/10.
The worst part of this love story being so drawn out is that SO MUCH happened the last episode or two. I'll try to avoid spoilers in case anyone reads this but like, you couldn't space that stuff out a little bit? lol Suddenly we learn his secret then it's resolved, plus the typhoon or whatever and that whole line, plus the very sad story line, etc.
Also, the dress they put that poor girl in for the wedding was atrocious. It looks like an old lady's wedding dress, but like one they got of Wish.com or Alibaba. lol
Tell me about it! I didn't know who LDW was at the begin, but after I watch this, BOY!!! I'm a huge fan, and then...there…
I love them both so much. I'm so glad they turned Kim Bum's character because their relationship is everything! And yes, the FL wasn't phenomenal but she was fine. I'd rather her be meh then ruin a show like other FL's do. (Playful Kiss, Pinocchio, Kill Me Heal Me just off the top of my head lol)
I dropped this show because of the FL. Its the childish-ness, I mean even if she is a high school girl, she doesn't…
Yes! She didn't act like a high schooler though, she acted like she was 11 years old. Super creepy and weird.
Also, the FL in Pinocchio ruined me. I did finish it because I love Lee Jong Suk and the rest of the cast was great, but it was DIFFICULT. When I wanted to watch The Heirs afterwards I was like, "Oh god it's her." lol
🤣🤣🤣 It took her actually, if I remember correctly, about 5 episodes to stop screaming like a banshee!…
Omg I am SO glad you commented because I kept seeing clips of this on TikTok and everyone was saying how great it was and that one comment was the only one who addressed the screaming. I was like, "Am I the crazy one!? Why is she yelling!? Why is no one else bothered by it!?" If there was any chance I could stand the screaming, is it worth powering through? I'm going to add Secret to my to watch!
