I have enjoyed this summer’s BL offerings. There have been some great stories and actors on the screen. This one I believe is Mame’s best one yet. I liked her earlier ones, but this one was a perfect summer adult rom-com. Like the book you take to the beach and pick it up in the winter to remember how the summer went. Peat and Fort are a great pair and are only getting better with age. My new favorite pair is Chanda and Aya. I wish we had seen a little more of the development in their relationship, but this show was not about them. Also, Nina (Meena) is one to watch over the next few years. She’s so good!
I judge a show based on ending (this one had a satisfying one), actors (Peat and Fort, I think we are good there), story (yep, liked this one), and at least one memorable scene. Mine will always be Mahasamut double-checking that he can do what he wants before knocking the stuffing out of the dad. I will give this one full marks because I know that I will watch it again when I need an escape.
copypasting from uncut version:I was VERY disappointed with 12th episode since it ruined the whole experience…
The finale is confusing and not satisfying at all. Thanks for the comment about the novel. Maybe that will make it better. A S2 would be interesting, but I would have taken a special episode at least.
This one was lovely. The character Boss (Best) had my phobia! I’ve never seen it portrayed in a show before. Phonophobia is an interesting condition. Other than that, the characters were a a bit flat (no growth) but the gentle realizations were fine to move the story along.

“Thank you for being born so I could love you.” This is my favorite line and is now my go-to on birthday cards. I enjoyed this story so much I found myself discussing this show with my adult aged kids. I am really happy when I can find great examples of non-toxic relationships. And I know I’ve said this before in the comments, but this show made me miss my college friends. Something I haven’t done in 30 years. I will watch this again in a few months when work is stressful, the world seems on fire, and I need an escape. But first I’ll need to buy another box of Kleenex.
Episode 11 didn’t have me crying like ep 10, but OMG the ending wrecked me. Now I wait for a whole week while contemplating the choices!! There is no redemption arc for Tong. Even if they try, there can’t be a believable one. I also wish we had more Mike and the secretary.
