I have finally watch this drama. I started reluctantly during christmas break and never finished it all. Not once I repeat not once I had that the urge to fast forward because I felt the story reached a wall and they were using fillers to accomodate advertisement companies. It was exiting from begining to end and Wei LingYuo character was the boss from begining to end. She is always several steps ahead before everyone (which pisses the emperor off from their 1st encounter). If you are looking for sappy fluffy love turn away. This a story of a woman who will seek justice for the people who she is fiercely loyal to. There is love. But I cannot say that it is at the forplan. Love here is everything but ideal. Afterall it centre in a palace with 1 man sharing is dk with several women. So love is different for people: twisted, one-side, forlone, unfurfilled, broken, short lived, suffocating, burdening, lonesome, extremely open-minded... Love here is not the happy ending. Surviving at the top is.
I have already downloaded the short spinoff (or sequel as it is about their kids?) "Yanxi Palace: Princess adventure" from Netflix.

It is originally a BL novel . They made changes to stay aline withe the gov censorship. The romance is really light. More one sided. Anyway there is 0 undercourrent between the 2 males. Just a fierce loyalty from the mc to the ml. All is centre into how he bring him to the throne at any cost. Political stratege, revenge and very smart mc.

THAT WOULD BE GREAT!!! I download their app just to watch "my classmate from far far away" and noticed it was hurting my eyes. I don't have this problem with Viki or Netflix. Plus it kept messing up with my phone so I deleted it. Thanks for the heads up. Even if it is next year I don't care. They have a huge catalogue of dramas!

Oh. If it is actually this that would be great! That twin needs his on HE. But it also mean that disapearing for long period of time is like a Tuesday for him. Not easy being a savior. LOL

"Nrvana on Fire". Extremely succesful when he came out. Some even call it a masterpiece. I found it alright. I must be dense...

I am currently rewatching my fav, my N°1, Undefeated cdrama of all times "3 lives 3 worlds 10 miles of peach blossom" (on speed forward) and I realised at ep29 ONLY that Star Lord Si Ming is this Star Lord Si Ming in here. Thougth they changed the actors, they managed to cast a similare type. Even their voices are close (unless they used dubbing so it would explain it lol) and they play his character pretty much the same way too.
I'm going to check if "Love and Redemption" is also a parent drama. If yes Si Ming might be there too :)

I think the ban on K entertainment is lifted. All the dramas with Kactors who were supposed to air the last 5 years are going to air in 2020

It was so funny. Especially the dynamism between Wang Wu and Wang Lu. His bromance was also fun. Will it have a season 2? There is so much doors kept open. Even Wang Lu origines are not clear. He was borned with self-awareness and knows much about pop culture LOL. Plus finally a black character in a cdrama. In a xianxia none the less, and an important and endering role too. Well done production. Keep doing this. But they used a lot of actors from diverse asian and mixe-race background I noticed. Lot of handsome and pretty men too. Xu Cai leading them all with his eye candy... everything. My guilty pleasure though: Wen Bao. Damn that character is so cute!

BTW where can I find the eng translated novel? Wattpad? Because I found fan fiction there not the genuine novel. BTW I just finished reading "Heaven Official's Blessing" and loved it! HEA and all.

I finally watched it. After a prompt from a someone comment on "The Untamed". As BL turned bromance I did prefer the pacing of "The Untamed". But the undercourrent between the 2 lead was undeniable. I never was a fan of Bai Yu until today. The way he portrayed Chief Zhao was so cool and nonchalent. I loved it. Zhu Yi Long was so great in expressing Shen Wei restrained feelings without actually verbalising it. Great chemistry between the 2. The 2 characters as different as they are have 1 thing in commun: the concept of giving all of themselves to keep the world and their love ones safe. Liked the OST especially the ending song. Added to my Youtube list now. This is my 3rd Cdrama BL turned bromance. "The Untamed" was the second I watched and is my fav, this one is close behind.
I dragged my feet but it is a MUST WATCH for me.
