Are you talking about all the females or just Zhou Yuanyuan in the beginning? I have watched enough female centric…
you are merely proving my point. Also, calling out someone for an opinion or disagreeing with an opinion, is not a bully. You can absolutely go ahead and project your rage on to me, that's ok. What would be tangible to you? The fact that you hate feminism and stand up for a bully man - yet claim to be part of the sisterhood?? And served back? How do you figure you served it back? You should like feminism, because you benefit from it - it has nothing to do with religion at all. Also, and if you read my comment - I asked a question but you just came out all guns blazing. I stand proud and will always stand up for other women - even those with views like yours. Good bye.
13 minutes in to the first episode, she had been in an accident, and she limps in WITH THE BANDAGE AROUND HER LEG - OVER HER JEANS!! I know in Cdramas they're often really bad with their bandaging (like blood on the bandage and bad arm slings etc,) but what can I expect for the rest if they are trying to represent that she has a leg injury by an over the jeans bandage - just ridiculous.
I didn't say she was a child, but she acts as a child. Every gesture was contrived, from the pout to her walk.…
Thank you!! Yes!! and there is no reason for portrayals like this, it drives me absolutely insane. I have been a social worker and psychologist over the paste 12 years and I agree, it starts with silent ignoring and also the desensitisation of the issue. The cutesy dressing up in baby outfits and licking a lollypop - thinking this is ok - yeah, I get the rant too!!! It's an important issue!!
She’s just so adorable but that doesn’t make her a child

Have you tried the Chinese Dramas? They are so good right now! I started watching Chinese Dramas religiously now.…
Yeah I get the culture differences and I tried so hard to watch it - the not real sibling concept I can get around, but I just don't understand how she acts, talks and really, really projects herself to be a coy little child and seduces him. Sorry, to me, cultural or otherwise, it normalises children in adult relationships. I have to try and stay away from any discussion about it because I get too upset! I realise I am very much in the minority here with this - though I did start to watch it on Viki and some of the comments were saying much the same thing as me.

oh ... well I don't mind it when it's done "right" - like the Go Ahead/Family By Choice, but I found the Speed and Love really awful. To be honest I didn't finish it, so it may change, but her childlike mannerisms and pouting and voice, just yuck. With the coming on to her big brother, just skin crawling. I know Asian culture likes "cute" things, and that's great, but, and this is just my opinion, sometimes it pushes it just too far and is almost grooming. Don't mean to upset anyone as I know so many absolutely loved it, but I just can't get past Esther Yu's character. This is to the point where I can't even watch interviews with them together because she's the same with him in those, yuck! I did watch He Yu in My Fated Boy and loved it.

I've watched first frost (twice) and snow storm of love, and go ahead (it's much better than the Kdrama version Family by Choice imo) and I loved all three of these! thanks for the suggestion of the other two :) !!

omg you are so right on the Cdramas!!!! I was intimidated first because there are so many episodes, but as they're all pretty much 40-45 minutes long, when I watch a Kdrama the episodes seem long :) I just finished the Cdrama Love Between Lines - loooved it :)
Edited to say love the Cdramas EXCEPT for when they portray women as infants, with baby voices and little girl clothes, it is revolting. The sole reason i can't watch the new "it" show, Speed and Love" is Esther You's character is essentially an 11 year old trying (and succeeding) in seducing her adult brother. It's sick. Turned me off Cdramas I have to say, so I'm more selective now in what I watch :)

I'm glad I read this - I'm just about to start episode 4, but i don't need the aggravation - sorry you had to bear it for the rest of us!! adding to "dropped" list now :)
