I love Johnny and i love Yibo a lot more. This Genre is Not My favorite, but i watched the Movie. It is Not bad, but nothing Special either. Yibo and johnny did a Great Job. The Plot was somehow boring and there was no characteristic Design at all. It is such a shame, because there was so much potential in the relationship between the Captain and Yang zhen. Such a pity. For me the movie gets 5 Stars. Plus one for Yibo and for Johnny Makes over all 7 Stars. Hopefully i see my boys in movies with better plot and complex character styles in the future.
I finished this Drama today 5 am and i have to say, it was one of the Best k-drama i watched. I loved the Dynamic between the grandfather and the grandson. The Plot was super exciting and it was fun to See how they Wove in the real events from Koreas recent past. Song Joong Ki was brilliant. Contrary to all opinions, I thought the ending was super fitting. It's a question of definition, what happy endings are for everyone. Jin Do Joon was a great antihero like his grandfather. He wasn't just good and his path to justice was also rather questionable at times, even if it was understandable. Therefore, a fluffy ending wouldn't have done justice to the whole STory. it's perfect as it is and ultimately open enough for every viewer to invent their own future. it was also terrific that the love story wasn't the centre of attention at all. Otherwise, Jin Do Joon's decisions would never have materialised. For me, the ending was conciliatory and neither good nor bad. It was fitting and it was the courage to make the ending exactly the same that makes this drama unique. I definitely give it 10 stars.
